120 marks is sufficient to nit rourkela

Krishan kumar 12th Jan, 2020
Hey there I hope you are doing well.  I think 120 marks  is not so much sufficient score to get nit rourkela. It depends on the difficulty level of the paper in which you give the exam. it also  depends on your home state and as well as category to get seat in NIT Rourkela. If you belong to home state quota then you will get lower branch. For getting good branches you must secure upto to 150 marks. I hope it will help you.. Best of luck for your upcoming exam. Good luck

i have got 195 in 2020 jee mains. Is there any chance of getting into nit rourkela cse with home state quota?

jishua thomas 11th Jan, 2020

hello sreejai patil...

first of all congratulation to your excellent jee score of 195. as the cut off has not released we cannot easily predict the chance of getting into nit rourkela for cse. as you have home quota reservation you have more chances and if you belong to any socially reserved category your scope for computer science at your desired college is high. as you know the jee rank is nowadays is only depended to the percentile you obtain. so you should wait till the nta releases the percentile score of the jee paper 1 for 2020

hope this information helps

all the best for your bright future

Yes, you definitely have a chance of getting CSE in NIT Rourkela. It is difficult to predict your rank this early, but most probably it will be inside 8000, which almost makes getting a seat in NITR CSE a surety, as per last year closing ranks.

The last year opening and closing ranks are available on the JoSAA website. Kindly go through it.

Harshita Gupta 11th Jan, 2020
Hey,

A score of 195 can get you a rank between 5700-18,000. So, you may have a seat in home quota. For general category, the cut-off for CSE ends at around 10,000 rank. So, you may get a call if you fall under this rank. The starting rank is around 2000.
