2. One Time Fees- Rs.15,000

3. Tuition Fee (per semester)- Rs.62,500

4. Hostel Seat Rent (per semester)- Rs.5,000

5. Other Fees (per semester)- Rs.14,000

6. Mess Advance (per semester)- Rs.17,500

• Total- Rs.1,24,000

FEE WAIVERS-

1. 100% Tuition Fee waiver for SC/ST/PH candidates.

2. Full Remission of Tuition Fee for General/OBC candidates whose family income is less than Rs.1 lakh per annum.

3. Remission of 2/3rd Tuition Fee for General/OBC candidates whose family income is between Rs.1 lakh per annum and Rs.5 lakh per annum.

If you choose to Float in the further round of the counseling after the allotment of seat in the 1st round and didn't get upgraded to higher NITs, then don't worry move on. Go to the RC and Freeze your seat. Otherwise, your seat will be canceled. Hope this helps.

IIT Dhanbad it is, IIT Dhanbad has a better infrastructure and is booming unlike NIT Rourkela.

It gets much more funding from the government than NIT Rourkela it is growing at a good pace and soon will be in comparsion with IIT BHU and has better faculty plus you get that IIT tag.

In terms of ranking and placement you can find NIT Rourkela above NIT Allahabad in most of the rankings.

NIRF 2017 ranking by Indian Government -

NIT Rourkela 12th in country

NIT Allahabad ranks 41.

,If CSE,IT,ECE,Mech. then 100% join NIT,Rourkela.

Nit Rourkela is far better than Nit Allahbad which u can see itself in the mhrd nirf ranking. The peaceful environment, the wonderful greenery and infrastructure and the eye catching placement.

In terms of placements, industrial design engineering is a better option.

The placements are fine. The students offered an average package of 4-5 lacs per annum. The highest package was in UX/UI design company, and it is around 10 LPA. The placements are increasing in this branch. The students are also placed in some analytics company with a decent package. The placement scenario is good.

Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Amazon, Mu Sigma, etc. visited. They offered roles like designer. Almost 70 percent of the students got an internship from college. The highest stipend was Rs. 60,000, the lowest was Rs. 20,000 and the average was Rs. 30,000.

There is 100% fee remission on tuition fee for ST/SC candidates.

There is 100% fee remission on tuition fee for general and OBC candidate whose family income is less than Rs. 1 lakh.

There is two-third fee remission on tuition fee for general and OBC candidates whose family income is between Rs. 1 lakh and Rs 5 lakhs.
