Well this is a tough decision and definitely you have to take this.
Firstly, if you want to study a Core Branch then definitely Mechanical Engineering will suffice. Then you must go ahead with Mechanical Engineering at NIT Kurukshetra.

Many of the core heavyweights like CIL,HZL,Vedanta recruit students from mining engineering offering 7–10lpa package. Apart from these core giants there will be some mining companies like Rungata mines, and others offering something around 4.5- 5 lpa.Then there are analytics which would fetch good salary.

Hello Harshita, if you have scored a CGPA of above 8.5 or 9, then the chances are very good that you will be able to change your branch. But it is also dependent on whether there are seats empty in that department or whether someone else is willing to change
