The chemical branches in NIT Rourkela and Jaipur are placed below Civil in cut off of JEE mains. Can you explain these trends please?

There is no separate cutoff for cs.Overall cutoff for jee mains is 74 for general and 45 for obc student.Cutoff is set by particular college.Cutoff for IIT kanpur is different and IIT Delhi is different. Techno India cutoff is different and jadavpur university cutoff is different. So,its depends on you

General category,CSE branch

The cut-off for last year was 1925 to 6396.

let me infrom you that chemical engineering has been on the course list of NIT Rourkela for a quiet long time and the faculty is queit remarkable as reviewed but the placement parameter is average on the scale.

so it can be an average option you can go

Look both of them are different branches with equal opportunities.It depends on your interest to choose a particular branch.
However, both of the colleges are really good and has good placement records.You can choose any of them according to your choice.

You said well. Cutoff for ceramics engineering will be around 40,000 AIR. So chances for you, are very high but you are on boundary line. You can also fall short to get seat because just few rank.
But don't lose hope.
