2.Schedule Class Candidates.
3.Schedule Tribe Candidates.
4.Home State Students.
If you belong to general Category,you can get an NIT ny scoring at least 30,000 rank.
An OBC candidate can get a seat by securing around 35,000 rank.
And SC/ST

Hello bibhan both the college are good , but placement and opportunities are more at NIT Agarthala, go for the branch you have interest in do not go for the brand value of college

Looking at the given NIT Sikkim's brochure,according to the demographics given,the recruiters select 12% B.tech. in ECE students and 10% M.tech. in ECE students.

The recruiters are Bosch,Intel, Microsoft, L&T infotech,Infosys,TCS,Sapient,etc.

According to me nit Sikkim would be a better choice As NIT  is progressing and will be a big name in coming days. It would definitely have more opportunities from any college so i think NIT SIKKIM would be a good choice.

I would not recommend you to NIT Sikkim . NIT's sikkim fails to provide the level of education and placements as compared to other NITs . Moreover , there are less in campus placement due to isolated location that fails to attract companies.
