Looking at the given NIT Sikkim's brochure,according to the demographics given,the recruiters select 12% B.tech. in ECE students and 10% M.tech. in ECE students.
The recruiters are Bosch,Intel, Microsoft, L&T infotech,Infosys,TCS,Sapient,etc.

According to me nit Sikkim would be a better choice As NIT is progressing and will be a big name in coming days. It would definitely have more opportunities from any college so i think NIT SIKKIM would be a good choice.

I would not recommend you to NIT Sikkim . NIT's sikkim fails to provide the level of education and placements as compared to other NITs . Moreover , there are less in campus placement due to isolated location that fails to attract companies.
NIT is becoming a brand in Indian education and has quite fooled a lot by giving dreams of crore worth packages , etc. But the bitter truth is that only a few NIT are functional in that manner. I know a few people from NIT Sikkim. Being at an isolated location, the Nit fails to provide quality of education and mostly there are fewer companies coming for placements over the years.
