Hello,Subrata
The placement stats of NIT Silchar is given below.
See i won't say that it is nit , so everything will be good. That is not the case the mtech branch in nit silchar is very worse in evry term, wether it is placement or faculty. First of all the batch was quite small. Also the placement scenario is very bad. Not many companies visit, and also mtech students are not allowed to sit n psu's. regarding faculty, faculties are quite good, not that much but they are okk

All the best.
With the rank you're mentioning, if you fall in ST category then I'm afraid you have less chances of getting into the middle tier NLUs but you have little chances of getting the newer NLUs like Jabalpur, if you have the state domicile.
But there are other good colleges you can look out for like
Apart from that you can check out the colleges you can get with your rank using the following link

Hello,
Getting into NIT itself is a greatachievement so, congratulations.
Now, I believe that rather than focusing on
the ranking of the college focus on which branch you want to opt for. It is no secret that metallurgy doesn’t have much scope for placements and on the other hand NIT has a better offering when it comes to placements. I believe that thelocation of the NIT and its ranking should be the deciding factor for the branch.
Rank that you got is good . Most probably sorry to say that you may not get seat in CSE, But you have 100 percent chances to get seat in ECE,EEE,IT . I think you may take IT . It is similar to CSE. Hope my answer helps. Thank you
Hi,
The spot round is conducted in college itself and so you cannot change the college through spot round. You can only upgrade your branch or get a seat in the same college. So in your case, You can just upgrade your branch in spot round of NIT Silchar and you have to be personally present there
I hope I was able to clear your query
Best Of Luck
No, NIT Silchar is an NIT, a government college with excellent facilities, and is very well known too, so companies, will prefer NIT Silchar over Presidency university candidate, provided you do well in the NIT. Because finally, what you learn, matters more than the college that you study in. All the best!
