Course Structure: Course structure is good (needs some upgradation). There are more courses on Power Engineering (e.g. Power Systems, Machines, Drives etc.). So if you are a electronics, VLSI design,embedded systems, hardware programming freak, then it’ll be better if you join ECE. Still, you can have 6 electives

The National Institute of Technology Silchar offers B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications at Rs 1,30,000 per annum. Which means the cost of the whole program is around Rs 5,20,000. Extra hostel and mess costs are not included in this.
