For Mechanical Engineering it was 7694 for state quota and 5516 for other states.

You have secured a good rank but getting NIT Silchar depends on your home state. In 2018 the closing rank for General and OBC candidates for ECE was 57k and 28k. For home state. 

But for other states it was only 21k for general.
