NIT TRICHY(CSE) is a good institution . You should not go for drop a year for IIT MADRAS.
Yes IIT MADRAS is a better institution than NIT TRICHY but NIT Trichy is not a less institution .
Both these institutions come under top NIRF Rankings of a country.
