You have to secure rank under 500 for the chances of your admission and for this rank your percentile must be more than 99.7 percentile.

Hello. I would recommend that depending on your area of interest you should go for a specific branch. Where Chemical engineering is very interesting and exciting, but because of rapid changes in today's industry the scopes in the job sector of a Computer science student is very good. 

But you must choose your branch according to your field of interest. Since both the colleges are equally good therefore you should not think about the college rather think about the branch which you would like to study further.

All the courses in NIT Trichy are very good. You can go for any course. However, if you are looking for a good package, then you should opt for CSE as the highest package is mostly from that course. After that comes mechanical.

86.9 percentile is not enough for nit trichy.

And also you may qualify or not it is also a doubt.So lets wait for the results .

You should start preparing for the next attempt and score atleast 99.5 percentile for NIT trichy.( May vary de pending upon other factory).
