the marks needed in jee mains for nit trichy will be always quite high.
for this year,the following are the expected marks(prediction only so it may get vary),
CSE-220+
ECE-200+
EEE-185+
MECHANICAL-170+
for any other departments,the minimum marks will be 140+ and the great thing is you'll be comes under home state quota too.so try to score high on jee mains.
the higher secondary board exam's marks also playing vital part in jee mains ranking,so be sure of your board exam marks.

There is various criteria to decide the cutoff but there is no single factor, so can't predict the cutoff exactly. Admissions to NIT, Trichy will be based on score obtained in JEE Main. So, You should score good to get admission in NIT, Trichy. JEE Main Cut Off is different for different branches and different categories every year. JEE Main Cut Off will be announced by official authorities after declaration of result. You should have score more than higher than closing rank to allow sit in seat allotment process.

I would like to tell you that the opening rank for you if you belong to the same state as the above mentioned college would be 1848 and the closing rank would be 5716.
If you belong to another state as a ST candidate, your opening rank would be 7 and the closing rank would be 128.
These details are from last year so it may vary a little but these number would be helpful in giving you an idea.

You need to have a minimum of 75% in boards if are non-sc/st candidate.
If you are sc/st you need 65%+ in boards.
If you qualify the above case, then with 196 marks you have very less chances of getting admission in nit trichy.
