Hello Anoop..

There is various criteria to decide the cutoff but there is no single factor, so can't predict the cutoff exactly. Admissions to NIT, Trichy will be based on score obtained in JEE Main. So, You should score good to get admission in NIT, Trichy. JEE Main Cut Off is different for different branches and different categories every year. JEE Main Cut Off will be announced by official authorities after declaration of result. You should have score more than higher than closing rank to allow sit in seat allotment process.

JEE Main Cut Off Depends On Factors

1. Number of Applicants

2. Performance of Applicants In The Examination

3. Difficulty Level of Examination

4. Cut Off Trends of Last Year

To get admission in NIIT Trichy, how much mark in IIT JEE main should be scored for home state FC quota?

Rohit Roy 24th Dec, 2018
Hi Aspirant,
If you do not specify the branch, then assuming that any branch would work, you need to score a rank in the top 25000 approximately to get into Metallurgical engineering.
For home state quota, normally that is the cutoff and all the other branches usually close before it.
Hope this helps.

I got 196 in jee paper 2 and 71.5 in boards am I eligible for nit trichy

Sai 21st Dec, 2018

Hii Omar..

You need to have a minimum of 75% in boards if are non-sc/st candidate.

If you are sc/st you need 65%+ in boards.

If you qualify the above case, then with 196 marks you have very less chances of getting admission in nit trichy.

Check previous years analysis here-https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-trichy

Hope this helps you. All the best.

Is 140 marks in jee mains , are enough for sc category student to get into top nits like nit trichy and surathkal...? Please tell me..

Shivam Gautam 16th Dec, 2018
Dear Aman

Yeah Aman definitely you can be able to take the NIT premises in this range of marks and getting into the NIT Surathkal / Trichy it totally depends upon the variation in the cuttoff as well in the cuttoff of your dreamed branch in which you wish to get into that . So overall you have the better chances to get into the top NIT .

All the best
