National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli
Dear Aspirant,
There is a famous saying "CHOOSE BRANCH OVER THE COLLEGE" and as you are already interested in computer science, go for it. Metallurgy is not a very good branch while CSE is the top branch of engineering. Almost every college has a decent placement for their CSE students.
Moreover, it is on the most popular and fast growing branch. Students from various other branches are going for jobs under CS/IT sector. If you did your engineering in this field then you'll have an upper hand on such students.
Hope this helps.
Thank You.
Hello Kiruthika!
National Institute of Technology, Trichy is a really good college. Infact the best NIT. Hence it requires a really good rank. I am really sorry but you can't get ECE in National Institute of technology, Trichy.
Please try to search for other alternatives aswell.
Well, regarding the college's you have listed, it reflects that you are in south
Answering your question, I believe though nothing much can be said without analyzing the JEE mains paper 2020.
But your rank should be under 5k to get a seat, assuming you fall to be Other state in all these NIT's
Regarding this, I would recommend you to score above 220 to be on safe side.
Thank You
You will not get any NIT with this percentile. Last year cutoff rank goes for NIT from 1000-3000.As per your rank and previous year cutoff, the colleges you get in b.arch are:-
Deenbandhu college of architecture
Ganga institute of architecture and town planning,Delhi
To know more about your chances of getting other colleges check out the college predictor link below:

If you do not have the HOME STATE QUOTA advantage then your JEE MAIN AIR should be less than 650.
Getting within the Top 600 Ranks would be ‘safe’ you n order to get good admissions in the college. You can get good colleges only if your rank is equally likely falling into the mentioned category.
All the best
Hi akhilan, kindly tell me your rank so that i can give you more detailed information with previous year cutoffs.
Considering your marks and category there is a fair chance that you can get into b.arch by 2nd round of counselling else last round is all yours. So don't missout the registration process. Do participate in the counselling. I hope this helps.
hope it will help you. FOR MORE QUERY COMMENT BELOW AND UPVOTE :)
Hi
There's no compulsion of reporting at the same participating Institute (in your case NIT Trichy). You can report anywhere but the institute should be mentioned in the list of all the colleges in JoSAA 2019. To avoid delay and hotchpotch please report at any of the nearest reporting centres.
For more information, do visit the JoSAA 2019 Official Site. Also you can always check the same about JoSAA Counselling 2019 through this link:
Best of Luck.
Cheers!
Hi Candidate,
You have secured a very high rank. With such a high rank it is impossible to get admission in any NIT's or IIT's though you belong to SC category. The closing ranks are usually in the range of 1k-3k. But you can try to get admission in any other private engineering colleges. All the best
Hii Sakshi,
Coming to your answer see if you are not the branch specific and you want a good nit tag then I would personally recommend you to go for the nit Trichy production branch . As nit Trichy is one of the topmost college among the nit and it is ranked no 1 and getting a production also in it is not easy.
While if you are branch specific then o would like to recommend you to go for vnit Nagpur for the chemical engineering in it than at last the metallurgy in the nit surathkal, but in my opinion you should go for the nit Trichy as it is a very good college and has top rank among all nit ,then for vnit Nagpur and then for the nit surathkal.
Hope this helps you , feel free to ask if you had any doubt regarding this,
Good luck
Well you just have to continue with furthur rounds of counselling if you believe that your seat can get upgraded. Don't worry until and unless you get a seat which you have filled at a higher priority, your present seat will remain yours as long as you follow all the procedures.
