National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli
Hello!T Naganmani
I will suggest you,you should go with metallurgy stream in NIT.It has better placement scenario. Also metallurgy stream is not available in all NITs or IIITs,so it's demand is more in market.Nearly all graduates get placed each year.Otherwise,Rest on you and your interest.
GOOD LUCK!
Hii,i am here to help you according to your query.Well, almost all have mentioned before me, almost all of these colleges have an equal footing. Be it academics or placements it’ll be a close call for all of these.
My personal preference for CSE would be
NIT Trichy = NIT Surathkal = NIT Warangal > DTU Delhi > IIIT Delhi
Hope,this information helpful for you.Goodluck.
Hey there
You can definitely go to software job if you'll have that potential to maintain both metallurgy and coding part that is you'll have to maintain both your GPA along with the coding and other skills necessary to get into software field do start learning different coding languages from now they will reduce your burden during BTech.
Good luck

According to your percentile you have not cleared jee mains 2019 because this year general cutoff was 89 percentile. It is difficult for you to make through NIT Tiruchirappalli or any other, as you are not eligible for JoSAA counselling 2019.
Please mention your category. Also did you mean 87 percentile?
Hi Niraj,
As you might have already learned that both these colleges are one of the best in India. Firstly, since NIT is a government aided institution, hence there is a reservation policy. But BITS has a strict no reservation policy. This provides for a slightly better competition at BITS. Talking about placements, both these colleges offer fairly high packages, especially for CSE branch students. BITS has an upper edge in hostel facilities and mess facilities.
Lastly, coming to the most talked topic of almost double fees of BITS as compared to NITs and IITs. I would like to inform you that the facilities provided by BITS tend to ask for a higher fee. But BITS also offers an institute Merit-cum-need scholarship to the students, whose parents have an annual income under a given mark. The scholarship ranges from 25% to 80% waiver of the tuition fee. So if you feel you can compete with candidates and get a good CGPA, but fees are bothering you, then don't leave BITS.
Now, the choice is all yours, for a detailed overview of both the colleges, please visit the following links:
