National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand
Well if you have the uttarakhand state quota then I think why not because the cut-off of NIT Uttarakhand is quite low and this is because it is of the new NITs establishes in 2010 so go for it and you might face some problems regarding fooding and lodging so be prepared for them.
Hello Madhuri. You can check out the cut off for nit for jee in the link given below that is available for all the categories. Good luck.

Hello Durgesh,
NIT Uttarakhand is a government engineering university and is a highly reputed one. It offers B.Tech courses in Civil, Mechanical, ECE, CSE, Electrical and Electronics.
The infrastructure is good and the facilities provided like the hostels, food, etc are decent and students do not complain much. The classrooms are well-maintained. The faculty for all the branches are knowledgeable and highly experienced.
The placements are great, almost 85-90% students get placed every year and they usually get a job of their choice. Some of the regular recruiting companies are Maruti, Tata Motors, TCS, Patni, HCL, Capgemini, Accenture, Powerware, Renault, Stone India, etc.
The placements for CSE are really impressive, the highest package in 2018 on campus was 15 lakh and off campus was 30 lakh.
You can go through the below link for more information about the institute-

Hope this helps.
HELLO DURGESH RAWAT
THANKS FOR ASKING
CSE at NIT Uttarahkhand is as it should be in one of the premier institutes of India. Most of the
subjects in streams like CSE are self-taught. Considering this little piece of advice, you don’t need an
amazing teacher to teach it, since there are loads of online learning portals that you can use during
the learning process. The system is just awesome for someone who wants to learn and grow his/her
intellectual level and is willing to show interest in Computer Science. The system is so flexible that
you can choose the subjects on your own from third year of graduation. From Advanced Algorithms
to Image Processing to Neural Nets, whatever the hell you want to study, the subjects are available
for you to surf through. Projects and Research Writings are also some compulsories from the side of
the institute. If you are the one who wants to make the best of your free time by getting these extra
bits of knowledge you’re welcome there. So there is much room for research too.
Firstly, the fact that you will be joining CSE branch, the Computer science domain is more important
to consider than you joining NIT UK. Do you really feel CSE is worth joining? You like CSE? Will you
work for it? Is there any other branch you are more interested towards, have knowledge in, and
have a zeal to work for some branch? If CSE is what you want then only we can think about
rendering NIT-UK a worthy choice! Fix you preferred branch first, stick with that and find the best
college you can get into with that branch. I will assume you have fixed your branch to be CSE. (Note
that choosing a branch is mostly like marrying with it, taking divorce later is not easy. Choose wisely).
Now CSE @NIT-UK is best branch here (In terms of placements, reputation, and peer group),
curriculum is identical to other IITs and NITs, labs are okayish! faculty is like any other department
here. Campus is temporary, mind that. You can check other answers for knowing the plight of
campus infrastructure, I won’t comment on that here. So excluding that CSE department is more or
less the same as you will find in any other average NIT.
Hence, if NIT-UK is the only feasible government college you can get in with CSE, it’s certainly worth
it, in fact - better than some. If you’re getting CSE in other NITs with permanent campus (excluding
North-east NITs unless you prefer to live in North-east), prefer them with open hand. Also mind that
except campus, NIT-UK is nothing different than most other NITs. In fact, you might get several
unnoticed advantages due to small campus (Like … no serious ragging, waking up in first floor -
running to classes in ground floor … in 30 seconds , so close :) )
The faculty at NITUK is very meritorious, spirited and young from different parts of the
country.
The student-faculty ratio is 14:1 approximately.
For ensuring proper growth of the students, teachers guide the students as
Faculty Advisors.
Teachers assist students in varied extra-curricular activities including sports,
cultural activities, etc.
The academic structure of the Institute has many salient features:
We have most modern flexible Academic structure 35 % courses are elective.
Freedom to choose elective courses per semester.
Freedom to complete programme in VII semesters and going to industry for one
semester internship.
Good luck!
HOPE IT HELPS
