if any nlsiu student looking at this msg , i want to talk with him , this would be helpful for my clat preparation , just understand i have to ask u abt something

Ayush Madanpotra 10th Sep, 2025

Got it! You want to connect with a student from NLSIU to ask some questions about CLAT preparation. I don’t have the ability to connect you directly with students, but I can help you in two ways.

First, I can guide you with strategies, tips, and resources that NLSIU students often use for CLAT preparation, so you get insights similar to talking to a current student.

Second, I can suggest online communities or forums where current law students, including NLSIU students, discuss CLAT preparation. You can post your question there and get direct replies. Examples include WhatsApp groups, Telegram groups, or Reddit communities like r/CLATPrep.

My ALL INDIA OBC RANK is 1219, will i get into any NLU? Also Im from Karnataka can i get a seat in NLSIU with the help of state dominical?

gopi 18th May, 2025

Hello Aspirant,

Your opportunity of getting into top NLUs such as NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad, and WBNUJS Kolkata, with an All India OBC Rank of 1219, is very low since these typically close at much lower OBC ranks (usually within the top 200–500 depending on the year). Nevertheless, since you belong to Karnataka, you could be eligible for the Karnataka domicile reservation at NLSIU Bangalore. NLSIU has 25% reservation for Karnataka students, and that too with a sub-reservation for OBC candidates.

Although 1219 is a bit above, you might have a marginal chance in subsequent rounds or through spot counselling, based on how the cutoffs change. Monitor official CLAT counselling rounds and NLSIU's admission announcements for the best information.

I have my year of birth wrong in clat 2025 Admit card. IT was a typographical error and last one Digit of year is wrong. i have already given the exam and results are out and i secured a good rank. my year of birth is off by 1 year but i have all the necessary documents like date of birth etc. Will i face disqualification from admission into top Colleges like nlsiu ?

Samprikta Mondal 19th Dec, 2024

THough this error in the year of your birth on the clat admit card is very unfortunate. But it is important that you address it as soon as possible so as you can avoid the potential issues  which can occur during the admission process. you must contact the CLAT Consortium and first tell them about the error in your dob. Explain the situation to them clearly and also provide the supporting documents like your both certificate and then request to correction or clarification. You must gather all the relevant documents that will prove your date of birth. Also be ready to explain your situation during the document verification process at your chosen National Law University and provide the necessary of docs.

Hello aspirant,

According to the CLAT Marks vs. Rank 2024–2025 research, admittance to prestigious NLUs like NLSIU Bengaluru depends on scores above 90. For famous universities, the expected cut-off scores for general category students are 95–100, while for SC/ST and OBC candidates, they are 80–85.

Thank you
