i am expecting approx 124.50 as per provisional answer key ,which nlu i can expect for addmission

Sampoorna Kashyap 31st May, 2019
Assuming you belong to the unreserved category, with 124.5 marks, your predicted rank is uptil 151-451
in the general merit list. Your marks are qualifiable to get into NLU except the Top 6, namely, NLSIU, NALSAR, WBNUJS, NLIU,NLU Jodhpur, GNLU Gandhinagar and NLU Mumbai, in the 1st cutoff. But keeping in mind the difficulty level of this year's paper and that this prediction is solely based on previous years' trends, the cutoff trend might see a change. You can check your rank here:

Sir i got 128 marks based on provisional key 2019.In which NLU i mai get a rank?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 31st May, 2019

With the score you're mentioning you'll get a rank somewhere between 30-350 and it's a great rank and you've sure shot chances of getting into the top NLUs though the chances of getting NLSIU Bangalore may be less considering the number of seats but you can get any of the other NLUs if you fall in general category. But if you fall in any other category then you're good to go. You'll get any of them.

I got 86 marks in CLAT 2019. I come under the SC category and a domicile of West Bengal. Will i get through CLAT?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 31st May, 2019

With the score you're mentioning you'll get a rank somewhere between 5000- 7000 in SC category and it's a pretty decent rank and you definitely stand a chance in NLUs. It may be a little difficult to get into the top 5 NLUs but you have a sure shot chance of getting colleges like

NUSRL, Ranchi

NLU JA, Guwahati

TNNLS, Trichy

NLU, Shimla

Is it possible to change preference list for nlus now ?

Roma Kaur 31st May, 2019

Hello Aspirant

I do not think so that preference list can be changed.

I think, the website CATEGORICALLY mentions that you need to be careful in filling up your choices as after they are locked, they CANNOT be changed.

From the official website:

QUESTION 26. Can the candidate change his/her choices of National Law Universities subsequently?
ANSWER- NO, Choice once indicated and submitted shall be treated as final. However, in case of submitting multiple application forms, the last submitted form will be treated as final.

Best of luck!

I got 68 in clat sc category Will i be called for counselling nlu Jabalpur nd shimla

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 31st May, 2019

As per the score you're mentioning you'll get a rank somewhere between 11000-13000. So if you fall in SC category then you definitely have chances to get into NLUs Shimla and Jabalpur. They require a rank of below 12000 (approx.) for SC category. So if you have a rank between the above mentioned range then you have a chance.  Have your hopes high since you've a decent score. All the best.

i am getting 108.75 marks in clat 2019(general category). do I have any chance in any NLU?

Souparni Student Expert 31st May, 2019

Hello Arpit,

According to the Rank Predictor Tool, your rank should come in between 965 to 1,665 in the general category.

According to previous year cutoff trends, here are some of the NLUs you can consider -

  • NUALS Kochi - opening and closing score - 111-108, opening and closing rank - 900 to 1200.
  • CNLU Patna - opening and closing score - 111-104.5, opening and closing rank - 900 to 1600
  • DSNLU Visakhapatnam - opening and closing score - 108-92, rank - 1200 to 3500
  • NLU Cuttack - score - 110.5 to 104.5 and rank - 1050-1600.
  • MNLU Nagpur - score - 108-90 and rank - 1200 to 4000
  • MNLU Aurangabad - score 107.75 to 90 and rank - 1250 to 4000.

If your score comes out to be as expected, or better, then you have a fair chance of getting into the above-mentioned institutes as cutoffs over the years don't vary much.

All the Best!

I have scored 124.75 in clat 2019 any chance of getting into nlu

Shyam Vs 31st May, 2019

Dear Leeva Sarna,

For getting into National Law University, New Delhi, you have to appear for a separate entrance test known as AILET. They don't accept CLAT as eligibility exam.

For National Law University, Cuttack, according to previous year trends, the cutoff was 110.5. This year it may vary by + or -5. So you have a very high chance of getting into this college.
