National Law University, Cuttack
Hey there
Drop is not a solution everytime. As you are again taking a drop which will create pressure on you and also taking a drop is not going to insure a seat at national law Universities so if you are getting good law College go for them it doesn't matter from where did you studied what matters is what you studied and so be honest with your studies.
Good luck
Hi maithreya
yes there is a pretty good chance of you getting an NLU based on you OBC Category Rank.
The closing ranks are around 10000 as per last year's data. So, you can go to the official website and check this year's rank list for confirmation.
And for more detailed info go to this link CLAT Cut off 2019 (Released), 2018, 2017 - GEN, SC, ST, OBC, PwD

Hello Vanshjaa!
Considering your rank, category status , first allotment list and past year trends, the general category cutoff has fallen to ranks of 1500-1600 and that too for low ranked NLUs. Your chances of getting a seat in NLU totally depends upon the vacancy available. You will get a clear picture once second allotment list is released. Still you can keep a check on the allotments of the following NLUs:
If things work in your favour, you may get a seat in one of them or even a better NLU.
But its good and practical enough that you have already kept a backup with another good law university in hand.
All the best!
Hi my sc rank is 1268 any chances for me?
According to your above mentioned Rank yes you have chances to get admitted in some of the NLU like given below : 1. MNLU Nagpur
2. MNLU Aurangabad.
If you want some other college then you can predict your college by using the career360 college predictor.
Sorry Himanshu, according to above mentioned score it is very difficult or not possible to get admitted in any of the nlu college because your score is too low for that. Minimum marks is 110 to get nlu but don't get disheartened and try for some other college.

Hi Arnav,
Allotment of seat is done on the basis of rank and if your rank is in the range of 2000-3000 you may get into HPNLU. However since HPNLU is a very new NLU not much can be predicted about the chances since if a lot of studies from Himachal opt for HPNLU then seats may get filled very fast and it may end at even 1000 as well.
Hello, Your scores too low for taking admission in nlu under general category it should be minimum 110 but you can try for reserved seat but that too is difficult because this year the expected Cutoff is increased you can find some other college. You can predict your college by using the below given link :
Hello Aspirant,
As per the eligibility to apply for CLAT Entrance Exam you should be passed class or appearing class 12th. Pursuing class 11th students are not eligible to apply for CLAT Exam.
Coming to your other query related withdraw the seat in CLAT-
As per the official, If you go for Withdraw option then it means you want to withdraw from the CLAT seat allotment process and DO NOT want the seat allotted to you from CLAT.
Further, it also means that you do not wish to participate in any further seat allocation and your name will be removed from the CLAT allotment process. You will have to provide your Bank name, account holder name, Account no and IFSC code of the bank account to which you want to get the refund. You will be provided a refund of INR 40,000 after deducting an amount of INR 10,000 as processing fee.
Requests to restore the status of the seat after Withdraw will not be considered.
Good Luck!
