Hello Aspirant,
Both nautical science and marine engineering both have same possible potential of growth.
if you are just thinking that nautical science mean just captain n engineer mean chief engineer than it not just end. there is alot more than that especially in marine field. either engineer or nautical both can be what ever they want to be in marine.
ex : lawyer,settlement ,DPA,technical supritendent,cso etc etc .
these are just few post above the just chief engineer but again you want more then you have to go for more higher management level like management in marketing than there is option of baltic exchange or same like other exchange who Decide the frieght rate of dry bulk cargo. similarly in for wet bulk baltic indices. there is also option for become the IMO chief seceretory . but above all before having all these u have to sacrifice the time and patience to gain experiences becoz all these position can be get by only experience.
All the best for your future

hello aspirant,
it actually depends on you which course you want to persue, however both the courses are very good, for students who want to make a career in the computer applications, programming, and software development, for them, the BCA course in data science is better whereas , BSc in nautical science will be a multidisciplinary subject (comprising of science , mathematics and physical training) that deals with techniques and knowledge involved in navigating and operating a ship safely from one point to another.
bsc in Nautical Science degree enables the graduates to become Navigating Officers on-board on merchant ships plying worldwide. Joining as a Deck Cadet after graduation, one needs to complete the training process
in my opinion, both the fields are completely different and it depends on you which course you want to take.
hope that helps

Yes, there will be interview as well as a pyschometric test of selected candidates, and a merit list will be out including name of selected candidates.
Hi , as per your marks I would like to tell you that 50% marks are too less to get you a seat in any college for nautical science as The minimum eligibility to pursue the course is that you must have passed 10+2 in science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as the main subjects and the minimum score of 60%. So according to that you don't even qualify the criteria in order to appear in entrance exams like IMUCET, CUSAT CAT, etc. But don't feel bad you can for many other options as well.
Hope this helps
