I have 485 marks in neet 2020 and I am in obc category and from Rajasthan then take admission in State ayurvedic College, lucknow is possible??

Era Madaria 11th Oct, 2020
Hi Student

After completing the BAMS course, one can pursue his/her career in government hospitals, dispensaries, ayurveda hospitals, teaching jobs, etc.The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) is offered by many public and private colleges and institutes in India. The duration of BAMS is 5 years to 6 years including internship.

BDS - 450+ for Govt Colleges and 400+ for Private Colleges

BAMS - 440+ for Government colleges 400+ for Semi Government and 350+ for Private

BHMS - 300+ should suffice because there are only private colleges.

However usually the cutoff goes something like

1) Government - Cutoff of GOVERNMENT COLLEGES range in 420+ for General Candidates and 400+ for OBC.Fees is lowest in range of 20000

2) Semi - Government - Cutoff for this type of Colleges are somewhat lower and fees is higher than government in range of 4050000. Its Cutoff is 400+ for General Candidate and 360+ for OBC.

3) Private - Now this is the most variable type of cutoff. As Colleges with low fee tend to have higher Cutoff and high fee college has low cutoff. Fees is in range of 13 lakh per year. Cutoff is in range of 300+ for General and 280+ for OBC.

Cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

in neet 2020 any chance for bonus mark???

Guljabin Quadri 11th Oct, 2020

Bonus marks are only allotted to the candidates where their attempted question:

  • is wrong
  • has multiple correct answers from amongst the options
  • doesn't have clarity

Hence, if the Board decides that there were any such questions in the paper, then Full Marks are awarded for that question to only those candidates who have attempted that question.

The chance of getting bonus marks in NEET 2020 is very less. There are 2-3 questions which seemed doubtful in NEET 2020 for which bonus can be given but it is not sure.

if i m getting 499 marks in neet 2020 under ews category which private college i can get till 1st 2nd and mop up round ?

mjaisinghani62 11th Oct, 2020

Hello aspirant

With 499 rank , your rank will be 45023 - 51086. With EWS category and this rank you will get top good private college. It would be easier to inform college name if you have mentioned state name. However you may get seat in colleges like

Kasturbha Medical College, Mangalore

Christian medical college Vellore

Kasturbha Medical College, Manipal

Hamdard Institute of medical sciences and research , new Delhi

Dr D Y Patil Medical college, Pune

Admission to medical colleges depends upon number of candidates appeared and qualified in exam, difficulty level of exam, previous year's cut off and availability of seats etc

i hav got 422 marks in neet 2020....can i get medical seat in Karnataka colleges in government sector and i. belong to category 1 with special category of CAPF....PLEASE HELP ME OUT

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 20th Nov, 2020

I do see your name in the CAPF Eligible list updated on the KEA website at: http://kea.kar.nic.in/ugneet2020/spl_categ_all.pdf . But you haven't mentioned your Category. If you have a specif Category that you belong to like General Category, OBC, SC,ST, EWS, we need that information as well. Because then yo ucan avail the Category reservation benefits. If you belong to General, EWS Category, it might be difficult for a seat in  Government Quota but if you belong to OBC,SC, ST reservations, then you might do have a chance. Having said that, this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. I scored 408 marks in neet 2020 nd I belongs to sc category is there any chance for me to get any govt.medical college. I m from delhi

suprava.65 20th Nov, 2020

Dear Aspirant

The NEET 2020 cutoff for 2020 is as follows

Category                          marks range

UR                                           720 - 147

UR/ EWS & PH                      146 -129

SC                                            146 - 113

OBC                                         146 - 113

ST                                             146-113

Since you scored more than the minimum marks required there is a good chance for you to get a seat in government medical college.
