I have scored 625marks in neet 2020.i am OBC category. can I get SMS MEDICAL COLLEGE JAIPUR

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 17th Sep, 2020
Hi

It's quite difficult to predict that whether you will get  seat or not as  cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

But when we go through previous data then it suggests that with 625 marks you  hold very small  chance to get into SMS Medical College, Jaipur or you may even lose a seat by few marks but for now be optimistic

For example,
In neet 2019,  638 marks for obc category got a  seat    in SMS Medical College, Jaipur under Rajasthan state quota

Im scoring 540 In NEET 2020, Gen Category from Jharkhand. What will be my AIR and Do I have a shot at any gov MBBS or Private MBBS college in Kerala/ Karnataka/ Bihar/UP ?

Anurag Khanna 17th Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

According to the marks you have mentioned in the question your rank is expected to be in the range of 29,000-40,000. See it is little bit difficult to guide you with the exact name of colleges because different colleges have different cut-offs for State quota and All India Quota. Also cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as number of candidates appearing in an examination, number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of paper and so on.

But although according to the marks you have mentioned in the question you have very low or almost no chances of getting into Government Medical Colleges in the asked states because the admissions to MBBS courses in GMCs for other state candidates are made through All India Quota counselling against 15% seats of All India quota and the cut-offs are higher but yes you have good chances for Private colleges and Deemed Universities. Note that this prediction is on the basis of previous year's cut-offs which you can check out from the links given below :-

Dear aspirant,

Hope you and your family doing well in this pandemic situation.

Coming to the query, generally, 15 % of seats  are counted to all india quota and remaining 85% percent seats will comes under state quota.

You got 475 marks in neet, as a general category students it is difficult to get chances as compare to previous years cut off in maharastra. Iam mentioning previous year cutoff mark for maharastra state

General       684- 143

OBC              678- 117

SC                  590- 118

S T                  595- 118

and I am giving cutoff link of maharastra you can go through that
