After doing correction in neet application form we have to pay any correction fee . I did correction In my category ? Plz reply

Apoorva Student Expert 29th Sep, 2020

Hello dear student,

So as national test agency has reopened the correction window facility for Neet 2020 on 23rd of September.

As you said you wish to correct the category and you have made the category changes so there will be additional deposit in fees that you have to submit and the application fees should be submitted in online mode through net banking for credit aur debit card before the last date of correction window.

If you have done the changes and you have submitted the amount then you are good to go and proceed further.

Thank you

I wrote EWS category in neet application form but what if I dont have it at the time of counseling? Will it affect my admission process?

Sohamsengupta8 28th Sep, 2020

Hello student,

Actually it is a very major problem. You should have a  e w s certificate while filling the neet application form. Otherwise you cannot fill it.

In the time of counselling process the e w S certificate will be needed. Not only that in the time of of admission in respective college this also be needed. But if you don't have this, your seat can be cancelled. My my advice is that you should contact to the the helpline of neet to have better assistance.

Hope this will help you

What should I select in neet application form if my caste is NT-B .becoz NT-B option is not given in neet application form . provided options are UR OBC(NCL) SC ST EWS

iammohdshareef 27th Sep, 2020
Hello kid,
.
Select OBC. NT-B (nomadic tribes) caste falls under OBC category. So select OBC while the time of applying/ or making correction. All the cast's like, NT-B, NT-D, NT-C, VJ comes under OBC category which stands for  other backward class

I belong to BC D category, my mother is a government doctor, and as there is no option for OBC- CL in NEET application form, I opted for OBC non creamy layer.Should I change the option to general category? also how to claim state reservation?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 25th Sep, 2020

Those Candidates who belong to OBC Creamy Layer should select General Category as their Category in the NEET application form. Now that NTA has opened its correction window, please do make the necessary changes. While filling the State Registration form for Counselling, you can select OBC as your Category to claim BC-D reservations of your State Counselling for admission to MBBS/BDS.

can I select sebc caste in counseling form of neet while having select genaral caste in neet application form?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 24th Sep, 2020

Yes. This is because, NEET is a common application form for all States and is conducted at All India Level. But only 15% of the Government Medical College seats, Deemed/Central Universities, AFMC, AIIMS and JIPMER are filled through AIQ. The rest are filled through State Counselling following Constitutional reservations. Now that is why SEBC is not an option that you see when you fill up the NEET application form. But because SEBC is a State level reservation, you can use that option to claim your reservation while filling State registration form for NEET Counselling. If you have appeared for NEET 2020. sir, Im Muslim (general category) in neet application form. so do I get reservation under 2b during councelling

Shefadaar 4th Oct, 2020

Hello there!

What I understood from your query is that, you belong to a general category Muslim community. I would like to inform you that, since you are Muslim, you are eligible to avail the Muslim Minority reservation.

Muslim Minority reservation is not offered by many colleges, it is limited to only a few.

For more information on the expected colleges you can get on the basis of your NEET score, use this college predictor tool.

i belong to obc but unknowingly i have uploded as EWS in neet application form.. what is problem i face... and i should i overcome it? will my application be not under consederation?

Shefadaar 20th Sep, 2020

Hello!

What I understood from your query is that, you have marked yourself under the EWS (Economically Weak Section) category instead of OBC (Other Backward Classes). You can use this tool to know the range of your rank based on your NEET score.

https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-rank-predictor

In case, you're availing the reservation under EWS category, you will be asked to produce the proof of the same during document verification at the time of counselling. Failing to do so can end up into the cancellation of your reserved seat.
