Hello aspirant,
It counts if you intend to pursue higher education overseas. Furthermore, if you are studying Bsc in a small town, it will not effect your NET preparation because you are in charge of it. With your efforts and hard work, you can refine your preparation and achieve great things in your NET exam. You will be able to do better preparation if you are doing bsc from small city as compared to big one.
Thank you

Hey there,
Of course you are eligible for NET exam. Any Candidate who has a post graduation from a recognised university is eligible. IGNOU is an ugc approved University m hence your master's degree is enough. It doesn't matter the subject you taken for your bachelors degree. You must have a post graduation. Thats it. Dont worry. You can write net exam.
Hope this helped. Thank you.
The validity for the EWS certificate - Economically Weaker Section is for one year only and it must be updated or renew for every financial year. Now, yoru EWS certificate for 2022 year must be issue on of after 1st April 2022 to be accepted in UGC NET and it does not depend pon the exam date or the result date.
So, your EWS certificate will be useful at the time of counselling as it will avail you various benefits of a Economically weaker section. However, if it is unvalid or if your EWS certificate is not renewed before the counselling date of UGC NET, then you EWS reservation shall stand cancel adn you'll be regarded as a General Category student.
Further, if you do not have a valid EWS certificate right now for UGC NET application, you can submit a self-declaration form which will stand as a proof of your EWS candidate and you can submit that certificate when you'll be issued a new certificate within the next 15 days.
I hope that this will help.
