i have completed my M.SC. in bioinformatics is am i eligible for net set in psychology??

Sohamsengupta8 2nd Feb, 2022

Hello Student

NET  is a national eligibility test for the lectureship in colleges or universities and to doing   work as a junior research fellowship UGC. Appearing for Net in psychology candidate has to have a master degree in the respective subject with 55% marks. They should have a degree in humanities and social Science University recognised by UGC in India or have duely  qualified in master degree on the respective subject. As you have passed MSc bioinformatics so this is not a subject of  social science or Humanities so there is no scope for you appearing for NET examination in psychology.

Hope this will help.

Hi,

Reservation benefits under EWS can be availed upon production of an Income and Asset Certificate issued by a Competent Authority.

Check the steps from the link for getting EWS Certificate

https://competition.careers360.com/articles/ugc-net-ews-certificate

A minimum of 55% aggregate marks in a master’s degree or an equivalent examination is needed to appear in UGC NET exam.

Ph. D. has become mandatory for direct recruitment of assistant professors in university from 1 st July 2021. But for colleges, UGC NET is still the minimum eligibility criteria for assistant professorship.

Thanks

clearing net is tough or easy ??

Muskan Shokeen 27th Jan, 2022

Hello Aspirant.

Hope you are doing well.

Yes, it is somehow tough to crack UGC- NET, but nothing is impossible. If you really want and ready for hard work then everything is possible.

Before strategy let me tell you some important information about UGC-NET.

  1. The exam is conducted twice a year. That is, in June and December.
  2. It is the minimum eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor and Junior fellowship (JRF) award in Indian Universities and Colleges.
  3. The paper consists of two parts. In part 1:- General studies (Common for all ), Part2:- that's your subject.
  4. There is no negative marking.
  5. Complete your syllabus and revise properly.
  • Some important points.
  1. Give importance or time to both papers. If you study paper 2 (that's your subject)for 2 hours then at least give 1 hour or 3o minutes to paper 1st.
  2. If you did not score good marks in the mock test then don't take the stress because that's not your final paper besides this learn from your mistakes.
  3. Never self-doubt. You can do anything in this world .
  4. Regular practice of Data interpretation and Reading comprehensive.
  5. If your mathematical reasoning is weak then focus on other topics or units, don't take tension.
