1. First we should know the number of candidates appeared for exam in the shift. Let us denote this but by N.
2. Then all the candidates of the shift are sorted in decreasing order of their marks.
3. Then raw score of each Candidate is noted. Let denoted by T. Then number of candidates in that shift whose raw score are equal or less than T are counted . Suppose this number is m .

Your UGC NET JRF certificate under the EWS category should still be valid for applying to PhD programs in the General category, even though you cannot obtain a new EWS certificate due to exceeding the income slab. The primary purpose of the NET JRF exam is to assess your eligibility for research fellowship and assistant professorship. The category under which you appeared (EWS) should not affect the validity of your qualification itself. The UGC NET JRF certificate issued by the NTA recognizes you as having qualified for the exam. This qualification is independent of the EWS category you used during application. https://competition.careers360.com/exams/csir-ugc-net I hope it helps!

The eligibility criteria for appearing in the UGC NET Exam conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) is that a student must have completed their Master's degree with an aggregate of 55% or more in their preferred specialisation. Bachelor's degree is not an issue here, Master's degree sets the eligibility criteria of NET exam.
I hope you've got your answer.
Hello Aspirant,
In order to be sure of cracking UGC NET (only NET and JRF), a candidate is expected to score minimum marks of 180 out of 300 (60%) because this is the trend that has been going on for the past 5-6 years. However, in recent years, it has been seen that the cut-off has been going up. So, a mark of 120 isn't really high enough to crack NET. The chances are low. But never say never, try again next time and if you can get 120 this time, I'm sure you can get 180 with a little push.
To download the UGC NET 2023 question papers, you can visit the official NTA website (ugcnetonline.in) or other educational websites like Adda247, Shiksha, and Eduncle, where question papers for various subjects are available.
