NET
Hello Meenakshi,
Following is the guideline given by UGC in their official notice for procedure of admission -
Interview/viva-voce must be organized by the concerned University/College where candidates are required to discuss their research interest/area through a presentation before a duly constituted Departmental Research Committee. Selection of qualified candidates should be based on interview/viva-voce for JRF/NET. The merit list of both will be published separately.
The interview/viva-voce must also consider the following aspects, such as whether:
• the candidate is qualified for the proposed research;
• the research work can be conveniently carried out in an institution/college;
• the research topic is relevant

Without a valid OBC certificate, you are not eligible to apply under the OBC category for UGC NET December 2023. You can still register under the General category if you meet the eligibility criteria, but this would affect fee payment and cutoff requirements. If you wish to avail OBC benefits, you must ensure the certificate is issued before the application deadline. Consider consulting the official notification or contacting UGC NET for guidance.
