what type of questions are asked in ugc net? whats it level n which book material should follow for zoology?

Souhrid Sarkar 4th Apr, 2021
Hello,

UGC NET is a National Level Entrance Test conducted by
National Testing Agency (NTA) in online mode.

Exam Pattern :

There will be two papers for the UGC NET exam. Both the papers consist of multiple-choice questions. No break between papers is given. There is no negative marking and for any wrong response and 2 marks will be given for each correct answer.

Difficulty level of the exam varies every year so speaking in a generalized way,you can expect a question paper of moderate difficulty.

For Life Sciences you can prefer reading UGC NET Life Science by Ashish Nagesh, Quaisher J. Hossain (Arihant Publication)

Vidya Mandadi 28th Mar, 2021

Hello there,

Now this totally depends upon you. You can take risk or settle and can greater perspectives. Now coming back to the preparation, coaching is not really required for understanding the concepts, but it will be beneficial to inculcate regularity. Regularity is a must! You should read books by foreign authors for concept building. Watch video lectures aswell. You must solve tonnes of questions. Practice time bound tests.

Thank you.

Difference between FPM and Ph.D? Want to make career in Academic Line, Having PGDM from AICTE approved college and its not affiliated from AIU. I suppose I am not eligible for NET/ JRF or Ph.D. Can a FPM programme help me out of this or do I have to go for M.phil from any private college?

Vidya Mandadi 28th Mar, 2021

Hello there,

While IIMs, XLRI, ISB and other stand-alone institutes offer a fellow programme in management ( FPM ), universities and the IITs and NITs offer a ' PhD ' in management. The difference between a PhD and FPM is similar to the distinction between an MBA and PGDM.

This is the eligibility criteria The applicants must have completed master's degree or equivalent with at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Science, etc., from UGC -recognised universities/institutions.

Thank you.

msc non college private se kre regular nhi kre to sahi rhega kya? isse net me koi problem aayegi kya

harshitasharansrivastava Student Expert 26th Mar, 2021

Hi Dear,

Yes, you can go for Msc from private college and not regular college. Even if you do not pursue your MSC from a regular college you will not face any problem in appearing for UGC NET exam. NET exam takes into consideration all private, distance learning colleges along with regular college. If you want to prepare for any other course or go for a job then you can ofcourse go for masters from private institute.

Good Luck

Can we prepare for ugc while doing preparation for ugc net. Would that be eligible? And i have already done my master though

ayanmukherjee045 29th Mar, 2021

Dear aspirant,

Your question isn't clear what do you mean by preparing for UGC, kindly elaborate the same by writing down in the comment box, since you have already completed master's degree, if you have required aggregate of 55% from a recognized university then you're eligible to appear for UGC NET, in case of reserved category there is relaxation of 5%.

I have filled wrong annual income in ugc net by mistake. Will there be any issue after clearing ugc net? I belong to SC category.

Vibhanshu 17th Mar, 2021

Hi,

You can change this during the UGC NET Correction Period for 2021 exams. The dates for corrections were 12th March to 16th March. However, in any case, if you missed the deadline and forgot to update the income, there shouldn't be much issue.

In general there shall not be any problem with the income status except if you have applied for EWS Quota because it depends on someone’s income and misfiguring data can lead to cancellation of seat through that reservation. Since, you are from SC category, it shouldn't bother you.
