In order to appear for UGC NET it's mandatory to have Master's Degree in the relevant discipline with 55% aggregate from a recognized university, in case of reserved categories there is relaxation of 5%, since you have Master's Degree in Mass Communication, you can appear for that subject only,

Applicants with minimum of 55% marks from UGC-recognized universities/institutions or equivalents are eligible to apply for UGC NET 2021. If you have aggregate marks in Master with less than 55% then you aren't eligible.
