Hello,

UGC NET is conducted at national level unlike SET exams which are conducted on state level, qualifying NET can make you enable your higher studies anywhere in India if you have opted for JRF,in case you're enquiring about lecturer then also you are eligible to apply anywhere in India, you can register at UGC portal, or other sites like LinkedIn, you can also visit career section of universities you are interested in if there are vacancies you can  apply for the same, if you are shortlisted then you may be called for interview rounds to be conducted by head of the department or the board panel, further you'll be also asked to present demo lessons, you need to be updated with all the knowledge  related to your domain, your resume, all documents etc, if you're selected then you'll be informed and further appointment letter will be provided to you.

In UGC NET exam, how they count percentage of LLM? only final semester % or all four semesters % ?

pdwords Student Expert 9th Dec, 2020
Hello,

The eligibility criteria for UGC NET is passed Master's Degree in any relevant discipline from a recognized University with 55% aggregate, there's relaxation of 5% in case of reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD,now the rule applies to all the subjects included and law too is one of it,hence the total aggregate is inclusive of all the semesters of your postgraduation.

I am BC Christian. Under which category should I have to opt for NET UGC?

myidshivanisrivastava 5th Dec, 2020

Hello Fedrica,

Christians can claim OBC and ST reservation. Only followers of Dharmic religion claim SC reservation.

So, I think you should opt for OBC category in NET UC.

For more details on Reservation categories, you can check their official website or this link:

Hope this helps you. Feel free to ask more questions.

how can i apply ews certificate after ugc net result any solution

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 30th Dec, 2020

Hi,

The eligibility you should meet to get ews certificates is as follows:

  • Candidate's annual family income must be less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum.
  • His family must not own more than 5 acres of agriculture land.
  • The residential flat area should be below 1000 sq ft.
  • The residential plot's area should be below 100 square yards if in a notified municipality sector.
  • The residential plot's area should be below 200 square yards if in a non-notified municipality sector.

You can get the EWS certificate from your local government authority (Tehsil). The certificate is called an 'Income and Assets Certificate', and this is the proof that is required to avail the EWS reservation. The designated authority will verify your documents and issue your EWS certificate.

however once you have applied for ugc exam and results has declared you can not change your category now, since score and rank is availed based on the persons category.

hope it would help.

I have applied for ugc net 2020 in ews category as at that time I didnt have the obc-ncl number and I have qualified now. so what will i have to do now?

Nive 3rd Dec, 2020

Hello, unfortunately after the correction window closes no change in category will be allowed. After the declaration of results the subsequent  changes in the category  (it usually happens for financially determined categories) wont be effective. You will considered in EWS category as such in this selection process.

Hope this helps.
