Ayush 15th Dec, 2020

Hi Candidate,

Before proceeding to the Category Eligibility criteria, you should know about the examination eligibility first- For applying for the National Eligibility Test (NET), the candidates must have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in Master's Degree.

The Category Certification eligibility is generally of 3 to 4 months only before the Examination Counselling, and so you need to update your Certificate within the proper Time Limit.

Hope that this answer helps you.

What do you mean by valuation of shares? Explain the net assets method for valuation of shares.

Nive 13th Dec, 2020

Hello, valuation of shares is a method to determine the value of company's shares. It is a dynamic value meaning the value of the shares will differ often due to fluctuation in market demand and supply. There are five methods to determine the value

  • Asset Method
  • Yield-Basis Method
  • Fair Value Method
  • Return on Capital Employed Method
  • Price-Earnings Ratio Method

Net assets is the difference between total asset value of a company minus the liabilities value. Liabilities are the money that the company need to pay whereas assets are the money the company will be paid to. By dividing the Net assets by the shares one can arrive the value of each shares.

can we give net in eng and set in geog. in same year?

pdwords Student Expert 9th Dec, 2020

Hello,

NET which is national eligibility test is conducted at national level whereas state eligibility test is conducted at state level, the eligibility criteria for both remains the same which is passed master's degree in the relevant discipline from a recognized university with 55%, in case of reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PwD they need merely 50%, now you cannot apply for two different subjects if you have done master's degree in one subject ,for instance with MA English you're only eligible for english subject in NET, and with MA in geography you're only eligible for geography subject in NET, unless you have done master degree twice with two different subjects, you cannot appear for one subject in which you don't have master's degree for the same.
