Kcet ranking is 43800,can i get new horizon college of engineering??

P. Shivani 31st May, 2019

Hai Nikhil!!

Generally 50% mark is required in physics, chemistry and mathematics in senior secondary education.

To qualify the kcet exam the criteria for general category is 50% and sc/st is 40%

Your score is less. You may get college but your specified college is little difficult. But you go for counseling.

Based on the college predictor I will get biotech in PES and at the same time I will get CSE in New horizon. which college should I prefer ?

Kishan_283 Student Expert 30th May, 2019
Hello...

You can not compare two different branches of two different college.
I always suggest you that choose branch on your interest not on college.
If you are keen interested in CSE then don't choose biotechnology in PES university just because it is one of the top college of bangalore.

In terms of placement around 90% students get placed of Car department of new horizon, so don't worry about placement.
Always try to choose branch on your interest.

My kcet rank is 25586... i come under reservation 3BG ... may i know my chances in NHCE.. i am looking for civil engg.

Gayatri Suman 28th May, 2019
Hello Likhit,

As your rank is above 20k in KCET and with this rank there are no chances of getting admission in any campus by the KCET.As maximum rank required for the admission by KCET is under 20k.and as your rank is above 20k so there are less chances of getting any college by KCET.But still you can apply if you are interested. As there are very less cahnces of getting any branch in any campus.

Which college Is best one between New horizon college of engineering and CMRIT for CSE?

Soumodeep Rana 27th May, 2019

Hello somu

CMRIT :

As far as academic teaching they have very good faculties.

A very few extra curriculars/workshops you can expect the very few from the college. If you are really interested to do some then go ahead and do it and you can proceed with assistance guidance from the faculties.

As far placements is concerned I can tell you from both colleges you'll find very few core companies visiting or not at all.

NHCE :

It provides education to the students in a way that each student will really get well in there academics, very well experienced Faculty, trained professors, and also they do concentrate on co-curricular activities also,And recently NHCE was placed at 99th rank in all over India top engineering colleges by NRIF ranking,

So u can choose NHCE rather than CMRIT.

How about for the admission for supplemental students to join the college either through comedk rank or management quota ?

Sree Student Expert 31st May, 2019

Hi aspirant, you can get admission into colleges only after clearing the subject. You have to clear the exa before counsellig for COMEDK UGET starts so that you could apply for the counselling. Before the admission process ends if you clear the subject then you might get admission through Management quota.
