i got 98.3 percentile jee main 2021 .. what will be my rank ... will i be able to get nit trichy cse under obc-ncl and female category if i get 99.3 in the next attempt ?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 9th Apr, 2021

Hello,

If you want to check your overall expected rank you can use our JEE Main rank predictor tool, The link to the rank predictor tool is: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor/

The predicted overall rank is 17391 - 19550 based on our JEE Main rank predictor tool. Your rank based on your category will be around 1000. The cut off in 2020 JoSAA round 6 was as follows for OBC-NCL(female) category to get admission in to Computer Science and Engineering in National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli

  • Home state: 3860
  • Other state: 1100

By the previous year cut off you have decent chances of getting seat in NIT, Trichy in CSE. However, cut off is subjected to change, it may increase or decrease, based on factors like number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of exam and number of seats available etc. The predicted rank may also vary.

If you score 99.3 percentile in upcoming JEE Main session your overall expected rank is expected to be in between 7161 - 8050 and your category rank will be below 1000. Again by comparing the previous year cut off rank you have decent chances of getting seat in NIT, Trichy in CSE.

You also check the list of predicted colleges in which you have chances of getting seat using our JEE Main rank predictor tool

Ashish Kumar Verma 7th Apr, 2021

Hello Dear,

Difficulty level of Manipal entrance exam is medium level. If we compare the level of the Manipal exam from JEE Main then it is easy and if you are comparing with state level it's is difficult. To crack Manipal exam time management is very important.

I am ST boy. I got 79.5 percentile in March attempt can I get CS in NIT or IIIT even new ones. Or should I try for next attempts.

Anurag Khanna 31st Mar, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

According to the mentioned percentile your rank is expected to be in the range of 209715 - 235750 you can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Or

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

So on such rank and category you have no chance to get CSE in any of the NITs/IIITs/CFTIs, so if you firm only for CSE then I would recommend you to either go for state counselling for state GFTIs or for private colleges like :-

AMITY University

SRM University

Nirma University, Ahmedabad

MIT College of Engineering, Pune

Symbiosis Institute of Technology, Pune

or you can prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-

https://learn.careers360.com/jee-main-coaching/?utm_source=%20QnA

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

You can also check out the JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-off (expected) for JEE-Advance 2021 from the link given below :-

is 75% criteria removed for jee mains forever or is it going to be referred from next year?

Shrishty sahu 16th Feb, 2021
Dear student,
The compulsory 75% criteria was removed in jee mains for admission to iit/nit/gfti/iiit for the year 2020 and 2021 due to the covid pandemic situation in the country. If the situation gets bacl to normal till next year then it is expected that this criteria will be again made compulsory. However we cannot predict anything right now. But as per the authorities the 75% criteria has been removed so that students do not miss any opportunities amid the pandemic and have a bright future. But there is no such criteria to ve eligible for jee mains, even if you do not score 75% then also you can appear for jee mains and take admission in other Institutes.
