I got 103 marks in neet and what can I do next course with these marks and 103 marks eligible for which courses??

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 15th Nov, 2021

Hi

Neet is a National level entrance examination and the single entrance examination by qualifying which you can get admission  in all the medical colleges be it private or government  including AIIMS and JIPMER  for

  • MBBS

  • BDS

  • Ayush courses( Ayurveda i. e BAMS , Unani i.e B. U. M. S, Siddha i. e BSMS, and Homeopathy i.e BHMS ) and

  • veterinary i. e BVSc.  ( for BVsc some states also have their own entrance like RPVT in Rajasthan for state quota seats, for all india quota bvsc seats offered through AIPVT counselling, neet is the only gateway).

>>>>>>>> With 103 marks, irrespective of the category you belong to

You cannot any medical/dental college be it government or private  for any of the courses i. e mbbs, bds, ayush and veterinary.

This is because,

You have failed to qualify neet examination but in order to be eligible for getting admission in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS etc even in private colleges for management quota seat or anywhere  you must qualify Neet examination

For your reference,

Neet 2021 qualifying cutoff  for different   categories is given below:-

.                     NEET 2021 CUT OFF

Category     cut off percentile  Cut off marks

General/ EWS     50th                   720-138

General-PH        45th                 137-122

SC                       40th                 137-108

ST                         40th                137-108

OBC                      40th                137-108

SC/ST/OBC-PH   40th               121-108

So,

An obc/sc/st category student requires at least 108 marks, to qualify neet 2021 and for general category at least 138 marks is required to qualify Neet 2021

For detailed information, visit

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cut-off

Now that,

You have failed to qualify , I would suggest you to prepare again for Neet examination .

if Im not allotted any seat in first and second round of kcet counselling..if Im not allotted any seat in second extended round of kcet.. can I write kcet next year.. will I get seat again for engineering next year???plzz answer

Piyush 25th Dec, 2021

Hello aspirant,

I hope that you are doing absolutely great.

With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that if you've not allotted any seat in the first, second and second extended round KCET counselling , then do not worry as there will be another round counselling for KCET and that is Special round counselling.

If you will get any seat in Special round counselling, the well and good. But, if you still not able to get any seat in Special round, then you can drop this year and could appear for the KCET examination again in the next Year also.

Further, for more information about the KCET Counselling , you can check the below link ;

I hope that this will help.

I Got 594 marks in neet 2021 and my AIR is 21177 and ews rank is 3219.Should I go for counselling in Bihar state quota or try next attempt ?

Anurag Khanna 14th Nov, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your home state so considering it as Bihar according to your profile.

See it is quite difficult to help you with the exact list of colleges as the counselling is yet to be conducted and the cut-offs keep on changing every year but yes we can provide you the list of colleges that you can get based on previous years cut-off data.

So according to the data, on such marks and category you have good chances of getting some government medical colleges in Bihar under state quota according to previous year's cut-off. So if you are getting government medical colleges in Bihar then you should definitely go with it and also if your aim is little higher like for AIIMS then also you should go with the state quota counselling and should get into a good government college and meanwhile keep preparing for NEET 2022 then you can appear for NEET 2022 and if you get good marks then you can shift to your dream college after withdrawing your admission from current college, but this option would only work for you if you have decent financial background means you don't have any financial issue because you have to pay fee for current year for which you will study in the college of Bihar.

As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that you have chances in following colleges :-

Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital, Gaya - 578 marks

Government Medical College, Bettiah - 576 marks

Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Bhagalpur - 585 marks

Shri Krishna Medical College and Hospital, Muzaffarpur - 583 marks

Vardhman Institute of Medical Sciences, Pawapuri - 577 marks

And some more. You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

NEET 2021 Cutoff Bihar (2021, 20, 19, 18, 17): Expected & Previous Year Cut offs (careers360.com)

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

I have a question.. for neet there are UG and PG categories. If I finish my 12th and without joining any colleges and i prepare for neet and if I write the exam the next year i will come under which category...?

prashansamitkari 22nd Dec, 2021

Hello, shanjanbalaji

If you are preparing for NEET Examination after 12th without taking admission for any degree courses then , it comes under UG category.

But if you are graduated from medical stream like MBBS, BAMS and if you want to do post-graduation then you will give NEET PG exam .

Under graduation- after 12th

Post graduation- after taking bachelor degree.
