Suppose I am alloted with a IIT BHU, Mech Eng. I have put my option on float seeking a better option. In the next round I am alloted Elect Eng in Jammu where I dont prefer to go . In this case wheather my previous seat of Mech Eng at BHU be available to me or not.

Aditya 24th Oct, 2021

Hi aspirant,

The float option is provided to a candidate by JossA, in case if he/she has been allocated a seat in initial rounds and wants a higher preference by accepting the current one. Now when you get a seat of higher preference it depends upon you whether  you wish to upgrade your current one or not. You can still wait for further rounds and see if any more better choices are available but once all rounds are over, the seat will be locked and no changes will be made.

For more information on the topic read our article at JEE Advanced Counselling and Seat Allotment 2021 - Registration (Started), Check Dates, Process, Documents (careers360.com)

Hope it helps!!

Hello sir, I got 149 Marks in NEET 21. What should I do next....??? .. category- OBC

lsbohra1512 13th Sep, 2021
Hello aspirant,

The minimum NEET 2021 cut off marks must be secured to pass the offline medical entrance examination. The minimum marks that are required in NEET for MBBS or other medical courses vary every year.  With these marks very tough chances to get any medical college.

NEET MBBS/BDS cut off 2020 and 2019:

Category         NEET cutoff percentile      2020        2019

Unreserved         50th percentile          720-147     701-134

SC/ST/OBC          40th percentile          146-113      133-107

Unreserved-PH     45th percentile       146-129      133-120

SC/ST/OBC-PH       40th percentile       128-113      119-107

By clearing cutoff or getting qualifying marks you are eligible for the counselling. It doesn't ensures you a seat.

Sir i am in class 11 and i am currently prepRING for jee exmination and i am in regular school due to school i cannot focus on my self study so next year in class 12 can i change my school and join dummy school and i am from allahabad so also can you suggest some dummy schools of allahabad.

bhumikarchie 13th Sep, 2021

Hello aspirant

Hope you are doing great there . See , yes you can definitely switch to a non attending school in class 12th after completing your 11th from a regular school . But there is a disadvantage for the the same . If you get admission in a non attending school at class 11 , then you have to pay quite less amount for two years . while for enrolling in 12th that is for only one year , the price is almost double from that for admission in dummy in class 11th , it is quite unreasonable , I know . You can check for various dummy schools on google , and if you are taking any coaching classes , I would suggest you to enroll in dummy admission through them . This will prove beneficial for you at the time of practicals.

I hope my answer helps

Wish you all the very best!

this is the 2 attempt in neet but I didnt doing well so should I write again next year or should I stop ???

lsbohra1512 12th Sep, 2021
Hello Aspirant,

Such type of dillema often comes in our minds, what to do next. Firstly you  don't need to be pessimist, be positive. The best thing to overcome this is you have to self actualize what you really want. If you really want a docter so keep going and try for next time. Beside this you can take admission in any course in this year and now you have got the idea how to prepare, strategy for the NEET. This time you knows your flaws/ mistakes, weaknesses by which you can't score well. For next attempt overcome all this, and prepare well that you can surely score well.
At last it's up to you what you really want. Don't hurry, take your time.

Hope this helps!!

I am participate jee main 2020 only 4th attempt and next year I will attend only 4th attempt in 2021 so i am eligible for 2022 jee main?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 12th Sep, 2021

Hello

Whether you are eligible for jee main 2022 or not depends upon your class 12th passing year.

In which year did you pass your pass 12th?

Anyway,

For your reference,

Jee main eligibility criteria is given below-

--------) Qualification required :- to be eligible  for JEE mains you need 10+2/equivalent qualification.

Course

Required Criteria based on Class 12th  or equivalent

B.E/B.Tech

Passed qualifying examination with Physics and   Mathematics as compulsory subjects

along with any one of :-

----)Chemistry

-----)Biotechnology

-----)Biology

----) Technical Vocational subject.

B.Arch

Passed qualifying examination with

-----)Mathematics,

-----)Physics,

------) Chemistry

B.Planning

Passed qualifying examination with Mathematics

--------) Passing year :- one is eligible for JEE main examination for consecutive three years starting from the year of appearing for 12th /equivalent examination i. e to be eligible  for JEE mains 2022   you should be either appearing for 12th board exam or equivalent  in   2022 or should have passed it in 2021 or 2020  .

As you have attempted jee main 2020, so I am guessing that your 12th passing year is 2020.

Yes, you are eligible for jee main 2022.

With 2020 as 12th board exam appearing year you

  • Were eligible for jee main 2020 ,

  • eligible for jee main 2021 and

  • Will be eligible for all the 4 sessions of  jee main 2022  as well

--------) There is no age limit to be eligible

-   -------) there is no minimum percentage requirement to be eligible for JEE Main.

But yes,

To be eligible for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs one needs at least 75% marks in class 12th if belongs to General or OBC category  or at least 65% marks in class 12th if belongs to Sc or St category.

For this year i. e 2021 this minimum percentage requirement of 75% - 65 % has been lifted off   .

But in 2022, yes this 75-65 % criteria for       NITs, IIITs, CFTIs will be there( if removed due to conditions like pandemic then nta will notify about it)

For detailed information about jee main eligibility criteria  go through our page, the link for which is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-eligibility-criteria

Thank you

My friend has passed class 12 this year his subjects were PCB and now he wants to do class 12th again as a private student and now opting subjects PCM. So next year will he be eligibe for JEE Advance or JEE mains?

Sohamsengupta8 11th Sep, 2021

Hello student,

National testing agency each and every year conducts JEE MAIN and advance examination to provide candidates in in engineering colleges including NIT with main examination, and by passing advance examination candidates can take admission in IITs.

The basic eligibility criteria of JEE main 2022 examination is just that you should pass your ten plus two level in 2020 or 2021 or be appearing on 2022 from any recognised Central and state board, or any public or boarding University examination etc.

Now in this situation in the previous year there was no no minimum percentage required to be eligible for examination. 2022 notification has not come yet that's why it is quite difficult to say about that.

But overall if your friend wants to take PCM instead of PCB, he  have to take admission again in 11th , and then after 2 years as he will pass his 10 plus two level with PCM you will be eligible for JEE main examination. You may go through this link below to know more about eligibility criteria

wiil je mains remove 75% criteria in next year. 2021- 2022

Aditya 11th Sep, 2021

Hi aspirant,

The basic eligibility criteria for appearing in JEE main was been waived off for academic year 2020-2021. But nothing has been specified for the next year examination but there is very high possibility that 75 percent criteria will also remove for jee 2022.

But it is impossible as of now to predict the same. To know more about the various eligibility criteria for Jee main visit, https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-eligibility-criteria

Hope it helps!!
