Hi, yes there are high chances of you getting into University of Southern California. Your IELTS or TOFEL score will be more important as well. Apart from that you will have to see if they need any other exams as a requirement. LOR and SOP should be on point to get into such good universities. A little effort will lead you to your university. Hope this helps. If you still have doubts feel free to comment.

I am looking for certification course for impact assessment in NGO sector

Nitin Mereddy 10th Oct, 2021

Centre for Science and Environment recognises Social Impact Assessment (SIA) as an important tool to inform decision makers, regulators and stakeholders about the possible social and economic impacts of a development project.

To be effective, SIA requires the active involvement of all concerned stakeholders. CSE has developed a five-day training programme aimed at giving practical exposure to participants on SIA with specific reference to infrastructure, mining and other industrial projects.

The programme is designed based on the new Act, “The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013”, and will be relevant and effective for SIA practitioners, officials from state land department, municipality, district collector, sub-divisional magistrate, developers, academician, students, NGOs etc.

With 8.6 CGPA, 1 paper published in IJERT, 3 Cyber Security internships, volunteer in NGO, GRE Verbal 152, Quant 160, AW 4.0, 2 LoR from College Professor and 1 LoR from IIT Bhubaneswar Professor as paper guide. will this person get admitted to MS Security Informatics in Johns Hopkins for Fall 2022?

Aashiketa 22nd Oct, 2021

Hi, your CGPA is good enough. Coming to your GRE score it falls under the range for Johns Hopkins university. Try getting 1 LOR from HOD if you already have that great. Usually everyone takes LOR from PhD holders of the college. So, you see if you have those. The LOR from an IIT Professor will have a great impact. Make sure that you enhance and write about your paper in detail in the LOR as well. Your internships are great. You can also ask them to give you an LOR. If not it is ok. Overall this person has a chance of getting into the college as their range of accepting marks of GRE is around 150. Hope this helps.
