Yes, NIOS board students are eligible for Neet 2022 examination .

This is because,

Eligibility of  students from NIOS and other open boards is in Supreme Court but until the supreme court gives its judgement ,students of nios and all other recognised open boards are eligible for Neet examination provided they fulfill Neet eligibility criteria given  below :-

-----------) Qualification required :-As per Neet eligibility to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination  or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English as core subject.

†††Important Note :- Students with Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet. Also recognised open board students are eligible  until Supreme Court gives its judgement over it.

-----------)  Percentage required :- You must get

• at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category

• at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc

• Lower age limit:- to be eligible for neet  one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December in the year of appearing for the examination .

• Upper age limit :-There's no upper age limit for NEET. Earlier there was upper age limit  of 25 years which was pending in supreme court, on 9th march 2022 NMC in its notice has removed upper age limit. The Public Examinations are held twice a year in the months of April-May and October-November on dates fixed by the NIOS.  The open board exams will be conducted from the date of 4th April to 30th April 2022 according to NIOS 10th date sheet 2022.

As per your query I would like to inform you that in order to be eligible for National Eligibility Entrance Test-NEET your age must be less than 25 years and you  should not have attempted the exam three times . Since in your case if you haven't attempted the exam thrice you can appear in the exam provided the condition that you are less than 25 years of age. All the best for your preparation and exam!!
