NERIST releases the cutoff every year for admission to the B.Tech courses. The cutoff is released category-wise and it is different for different categories. NERIST Nirjuli cutoff is released for SC, ST, OBC and General category candidates. Students should meet the cutoff to proceed with the further rounds of admissions.

Which one is better, NERIST or SLIET?

NERIST and SLIET are deemed-to-be-university. Both institutes have the same course structure: certificate, diploma, UG, PG and doctoral courses. NERIST Nirjuli is fully funded and controlled by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Ample facilities are provided by both institutes that help the students to pursue their education and make college life better. Looking at the placement statistics 2021, NERIST is better as Rs. 3.60 Lakhs was the median salary offered to the UG and PG students while SLIET offers Rs. 3.50 Lakhs and Rs. 3.40 Lakhs to their UG and PG students respectively as a median salary.

What are the streams in NERIST ?

The institute offers a total of 50 courses in different specialisations/streams. Diploma and B.Tech courses are offered in 6 specialisations each. However, M.Sc and M.Tech courses are offered in 4 and 10 streams respectively. There are 22 different streams for Ph.D course in which students can apply. The streams in which NERIST Nirjuli courses are offered are Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Power Engineering, Agricultural and Irrigation Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, CSE, IT, Electrical Engineering, Forestry, Mathematics, Thermal Engineering, Physics, Management and Humanities and Social Sciences.

Candidates have to fill the NEE application form and complete the registration process by filling the details.
