Hello,
I hope you are doing good,
Faculty: I don't think that teachers play a favourable role in enhancing academics section of students in this college. Moreover, teachers are much concentrated about attendance. Some teachers are very good, and we can definitely learn various things from them.
Placements: It is a very good college in case of computer branches, but for core branches, it needs a lot of improvement. The average salary package offered for computer branches is 14 LPA, and for core branches, it is 6 to 8 LPA. I suggest not to opt for this college if you are interested in researches.
Overall NSUT MECHANICAL is a good branch to choose.

Hi Sweta,
In my opinion you should go for BTech in NSUT.
Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) Delhi, earlier known as NSIT (Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology) boasts of 100% placement with many students getting multiple offers. The record says that 120 companies offering high-end packages visit the campus each year for placements. Usually, 67% of the recruiters repeatedly visit NSUT during the campus placement drives each year.
Several NSIT graduates have managed to get into reputed Indian B-Schools like IIMs and FMS, while some others were offered opportunities to pursue higher studies in the Universities, including Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania, etc. In 2016, an MTech student of NSIT Delhi managed to bag the highest annual package in the history of the institute, which is Rs 1.25 crore . EPIC and Snapdeal offered a salary package of Rs 80 LPA and Rs 15.25 LPA , respectively which became the second and third-highest remuneration of 2016 batch. The average package of the institute usually lies between Rs 7-7.5 LPA. The top companies that visit NSIT placement include Accenture, Birlasoft, HCL, Honda, Birla, Honeywell, IBM, Google, BPCL, Hero Motocorp, Amazon, Microsoft, Texas Instrument, Cisco and many more.
Now its totally depend on you and your interest. I give my opinion, final decision will be yours.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
In my opinion you should go for NSUT, it has better placements, research and campus life in compare to other two colleges.
For candidates who are interested in research, innovation, and higher studies, IIIT Delhi is definitely a better choice among the three. But students, who are interested in placement, infrastructure, and college life, should prefer NSIT or DTU for an engineering degree.
There are several reasons to support my choice -
Therefore, considering the opportunities in research and having an extensive curriculum and course structure, IIIT Delhi is definitely one of India’s best institutes. But for enjoying college life and getting a good placement at the same time, DTU and NSIT should be considered.
Choose according to your preferences.
Hope this information helps you.
All the best.
Dear Student,
National Institute of Technology Patna, formerly Bihar School of Engineering and Bihar College of Engineering, is a public engineering institution located in Patna in the Indian state of Bihar. It was renamed as NIT Patna, by the Government of India. The NIT Patna placement CSE has grabbed the highest placement package of Rs 43.17 LPA with 120 offers in 80 students. 10% new recruiters in NIT Patna placement with companies like Amazon, Oracle, Adobe been consistent visitors for recruitment.
Whereas, Netaji Subhas University of Technology, formerly Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology is a state university located in Dwarka, New Delhi, India. In 2018, the institute was granted University status, changing its name to Netaji Subhas University of Technology. The average package of the institute usually lies between Rs 7-7.5 LPA. The top companies that visit NSIT placement include Accenture, Birlasoft, HCL, Honda, Birla, Honeywell, IBM, Google, BPCL, Hero Motocorp, Amazon, Microsoft, Texas Instrument, Cisco etc.
So, you can choose accordingly as per your preference between these. Choose wisely.
Hope this sorted your query.
Good Luck :)
Hi, NSUT is affiliated with Delhi university and is a newly found organization and is a Government college. DTU has less number of intake. Courses offered in NSUT are more in comparison. Coming to placements. NSUT has more students placed than DTU for your branch. However, the companies that come are pretty similar. Below is the link where you can compare these two colleges and know which is a better fit for you. Hope this helps.
All the three colleges are some of the most prestigious engineering colleges in India, so it would be improper to say that one is better than the rest. Your choice of college depends entirely on your goal in life. Here i have give some details about these colleges for your help -
1.) Placements:
If a good placement is what your’re looking for, then choose either NSIT or DTU. DTU/NSIT, being very old colleges, have alumni in almost every industry, thus their brand names attract all sorts of companies to their campus. The jobs that are offered straight after UG are very ground level and do not require much expertise. So if you choose to go to IIIT D, solely for placement purposes, you would be left disappointed because you would need to work much harder than the students at NSIT/DTU for the same job because IIIT D has a very elaborate curriculum, consisting of a lot of subjects that play no role during placements. So getting into DTU/NSUT is a good way to ensure easy placement.
2.) Research:
if a good research environment is what you’re looking for, then IIIT D is the ideal choice for you. IIIT D has an amazing faculty, consisting of many professors that have graduated from prestigious universities abroad. The curriculum of IIIT D is purely research oriented, which is very beneficial for students who are gunning an MS after their BTech. However, if you join IIIT D, you need to make sure that you work hard throughout the course of these four years because IIIT D has a very indepth curriculum and extra hardwork is neccessary to understand the concepts from the ground up, otherwise you would be left fumbling with the basics. Even DTU and NSUT are not bad for those who wish to pursue higher studies, but they are just not as good as IIIT D because the faculty and curriculum available in these colleges are not at par with those at IIIT D.
3.) MBA/UPSC/other goals after BTech:
If you wish to pursue MBA/UPSC etc after BTech, do not even think twice before joining DTU/NSIT. The elaborate curriculum of IIIT D would not give you the time to prepare for CAT/GMAT and develop your CV. DTU/NSUT offer great personality development and make a person ready for the corporate world.
4.) College Life:
If a good college life is what you want, then DTU/NSIT is the way to go. IIIT D takes a backseat in terms of college life, with students spending a majority of their time studying. However, if you are a computer science geek who likes to code the whole day, then IIIT D is heaven for you.
Just remember one thing, if you choose any of the above colleges, you get the same platform. All the three colleges are excellent, but choosing one in accordance with your goals would make your life a bit easier.
Think carefully. Look into the pros and cons of each of these colleges. Consider all the factors and then make a decision.
All the three colleges are really good and after joining any one of them, make sure you celebrate your achievement with your friends.
In my opinion you should go for NSUT.
For general Pwd students, 3% seats are reserved in Jee mains. And this gives you a great chance to get into any government college of your choice. In my opinion based on previous year's records with this marks you can easily get into DTU with branch of your choice. Just keep checking the counselling dates and be ready with all the documents that are required at the time of counselling.
