As per Jan 2020 NTA score my AIR is 10300, So what is my tentive EWS Rank

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 10th Sep, 2020

To predict your Category rank, we will need details like the no.of Candidates who appeared for JEE Mains under EWS Category. But to give you an approximate rank, it might be around 3,000-5,000. However this is just an approximate number. With an All India Rank of 10300, you might have chances in:

IIIT Allahabad

DTU

NIT Delhi

NSIT

Now this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs depend on various factors such as total no .of seats available, difficulty of the exam, previous year cut offs, no.of Candidates appearing for the exam and no.of Candidates applying for a course. Please use our College predictor for the complete list of Colleges that you may have a shot at: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

nta score is marks or percentile I am confused in this ,. if I check my question paper and i got 39 marks what is nta score and percentile my categories is sc in jee mains 2020

Shivani Hathi 10th Sep, 2020

Hey there.

Scoring 39/360 cannot be considered as sufficient score for top colleges like NITs but you mentioned that your category is SC, it is quiet possible that you get into a good college.

The rank is decided based on various factors like

  • The difficulty level of your shift's paper.
  • The highest score among your shift
  • General cut off provided by NTA

However, you can predict your rank with the link attached below.

sir ! I got 94.2 percentile in January JEE mains and I wont wrote the September jee mains exam. so, when NTA will release my rank and score card of January JEE mains .

Kamal Kishor Chaurasiya 10th Sep, 2020

Hi aspirant,

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the answer key and response sheet recently and it is expected that the final rank list would also be released soon. You have got 94.2 percentile. According to last year trend based on this percentile your Common Rank list (CRL) would be 60,000. Your final result would be evaluated based on your January percentile since you didn't appear in September and it will be your best score. You can use the following JEE Main college predictor tool by clicking on the link below to predict your college and branch options:

Hope it helps you.

sir i am confused in that .IN the result of jee main the nta score is shown is persentile or marks ,,eg my total nta score is 30.99286 something what is my percentyl tell me

ANUVAB DAS 10th Sep, 2020

The NTA score written on the NTA marksheet is the percentile you scored. Percentile depends upon the topper's performance in each shift of exam. So, it changes each year. Percentile actually means how many candidates you have overtaken to grab the position.

The AIR corresponding to this percentile is 599681. It is obvious that you have less chances of getting colleges. To know about your admission chances use JEE MAIN COLLEGE PREDICTOR tool.
