i got 81 percentage as per NTA in jee mains and i am SC caste can i get in NITs

Ishan Katoch 12th Jul, 2022

Hi Navadeep.

With a percentile ( I assume it is percentile and not percentage as mentioned in question) of 81 , your rank stands at 296401 in open category. With the category of SC and 81 percentile, your chances to get NITs are low . But, since this year's cutoffs have not been released yet , these are just predictions . Your rank was calculated using, https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor?utm_source=engineering&utm_medium=recommended&utm_campaign=jee-main-2022 . Other colleges which you might get are:

  1. Madhav Institute of Technology and Science
  2. Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology
  3. University of Engineering and Technology

You are possibly eligible for JEE Advanced.

I used this College predictor, https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

For cutoffs of various colleges, refer this:

https://engineering.careers360.com/download/ebooks/jee-main-cut-off-for-iits-nits

For expert guidance from Careers360, refer here, https://www.careers360.com/btech-companion/order-summary?icn=companion_order_summary&ici=companion_btech_dashboard

Hope this helps. Thanks.

[Note: These are predictions from previous years' data. This year's cutoffs have not been released yet.]

[Cutoffs and ranks depend on various factors like:

  1. Number of Candidates.
  2. Performance in exam.
  3. Difficulty of exam.]

my jee mains session 1 nta score is 75.6945647 , how much rank will i get for obc category ,which best colleges i am eligible for , am i eligible for jee advance , pls help me with my questions

Anurag Khanna 11th Jul, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

See If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2021 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your CRL and OBC ranks are expected to be in the range of 248645 - 279513 and 60000-70000 respectively .

You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank and percentile :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

Note that the rank which is predicted is only the expected rank on the basis of previous year's data so your actual rank might vary depending upon current factors.

On such rank you can go for colleges like :-

  • Brahma Valley College of Engineering and Research Institute, Nashik
  • Bansal College of Engineering, MP
  • Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Agra College
  • SSBTs College of Engineering and Technology, Jalgaon

On such percentile, being an OBC candidate you have good chances to qualify for JEE-Advance 2022 but still the cutoffs for this year have not released yet officially.

As the cut-offs are released along with the JEE-Main 2022 result so for now you can get an idea from JEE-Main 2021 qualifying cut-offs that are enlisted below :-

==>> Common Rank List (CRL) - 87.8992241-100.0000000 Percentile

==>> GEN-EWS - 66.2214845-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 68.0234447-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Caste (SC) - 46.8825338-87.8950071 Percentile

==>> Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 34.6728999 87.8474721 Percentile

==>> PwD - 0.0096375-87.8273359 Percentile

Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2022 but previous year's cut-off.

You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

i got 33 NTA total score, can i get admission in good collage

Shivanshu 12th Jul, 2022

Dear aspirant !

Hope you are doing well ! Sorry to say but you scored really low marks . I am not demotivating you ,i know you will bounce back in second attempt . I have a suggestion for you , don't focus on this percentile ,forget it as soon as possible and give your best in second one . You can definitely improve a lot . Otherwise you have to take private colleges only . No good Government College will give you any seat .

Thanks

if nta total score is 59.539 how marks come with this score

Anurag Khanna 16th Jul, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

See it is quite difficult to tell you an exact figure of your marks because it keeps on changing every year depending upon various factors but yes we can help you with approximate figures on the basis of analysis of previous year's data.

So If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile for JEE-Main 2021 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your marks are

>>>>>>>> expected to be under 40 out of 300 .

Note that the marks range which is predicted is only the expected range on the basis of previous year's data so your actual percentile  Vs marks might vary depending upon current factors.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your JEE-Main score or rank you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

mandavi mishra 11th Jul, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

Your NTA score simply means your percentile in the mains examination.

So if your NTA score is 42, your percentile is 42 ie. Your performance is better than 42% students giving examination.

You can use careers360 rank predictor to predict your rank.

Im so confused in my percentile will u please help I got nta score in physics- 48.8063373 chemistry- 17.4477434 maths- 38.7789519 total- 25.9635171 please help

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 11th Jul, 2022

Hi

Your total nta score is your percentile.

So,

  • Your percentile is  25.9635171

This is because,

Total NTA score is nothing but your percentile.

††† total nta score is not summation of individual nta score of PCM

It's quite difficult to make prediction as marks vs percentile vs rank keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like

------------------------) number of students that appeared in the exam,

------------------------) kind of marks obtained by them ,

------------------------) toughness level of the examination for different shifts of the exam etc.

But yes ,

When we go through previous years trend then,

--------------------------------) with 48.8063373 percentile

  • Your rank would be roughly around 523711 - 588727

JEE main college predictor is given below, to know the colleges you can get admission in:- https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hi

With 17.1692479 percentile/ nta score

  • Your rank  will be roughly around 847359 - 952554

Now,

Making  prediction is difficult as  cutoff  depends upon various factors like :-

-----------) number of students/ candidates  that appeared in the  jee main exam,

-----------) number of available seats,

-----------) jee main examination difficulty level.

-----------) the branch you want,

-----------) the category you belong etc.

-----------) your rank in jee main

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then

>>>>>>>>> For your  rank

You have chances in following colleges  which are listed below :-

----------)NSHM Knowledge Campus, Durgapur:-Durgapur:- https://www.careers360.com/colleges/nshm-knowledge-campus-durgapur/cut-off?college_id=3618&exam_sub_exam_id=2&ici=college_view_cutoffs

If NTA score is 33.79, is it good or bad?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 11th Jul, 2022

Hi

But yes ,

When we go through previous years trend then,

--------------------------------) 33.79 percentile

  • Your rank would be roughly around 677328 - 761415

With this rank, you cannot get good colleges like NITs etc thus, your percentile is not good. Work hard and aim for at least around 95 + percentile in next session of jee main
