I got 73 percentile in jee mains . I am obc candidate , and my category wise rank is 81625. Can I get free seat in top institutions or universities in cse branch ?

sheemaashraf123 22nd Oct, 2021

Well not sure about all the colleges in India but definitely colleges such as NITs, IITS or IIITs don't offer free admissions. It depends upon the JEE Main and JEE Advance cut offs, If You manage to qualify the exam by achieving the cut off, You can apply for JOSAA Counselling. It should be noted the cut off for EWS/ SC/ ST/ OBC category is lower than the general category
However It is usually advised to fill the choices as per the preference of colleges and departments, for example CSE in NIT Trichy is your priority followed by CSE in NIT Warangal, you can fill CSE at NIT Trichy at serial number 1 and CSE at NIT Warangal at serial number 2 and so on and so forth. However to get any NIT, you must have qualified JEE Mains and to get any IIT, you must have qualifies JEE Advanced

But the previous cut offs of colleges should be taken in consideration, it is better to research over the cut off of colleges then make a preference list of colleges and fill accordingly

For the college preferences and the courses provided by these colleges and to know which colleges participate in the JOSAA counselling, please go to the below mentioned link: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/josaa-participating-institutes/amp

sir, I have shown my caste as obc teluguchetty. but asked income in appln.. I thought that they asked about my fathers+mothers total salary income. I showed correct salary per annum i. e. above 8 lakhs.but wl salary come in income category?

Aashiketa 13th Nov, 2021

Hi,  when they ask about income it is mother's as well as father's combined. You need to show both their income certificates that is salary slips. If your income is more than the base income required for being an OBC then the chances of you getting an scolarhsip are less. It depends on state to state and university to university. Hope this helps.

Hello aspirant,
It is difficult to get government BAMS college in all India quota . But you may try for state quota for government seat. Although getting seat in government college depends on various factors like number of students appeared, rank in neet exam, category, region , state, etc. Hope you get bams college or else try for private bams college there are other good private colleges also.
I hope this information will be helpful for you.

can i get gfti with 73 percentile and obc rank is 79999.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 29th Sep, 2021

Hello

With 77k obc rank,

You have extremely low chance in any GFTIs

For example,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the GFTIs for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020   :-

-----------) Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology:- Food Technology:- 21480 obc rank

-----------) Institute of Technology, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (A Central University), Bilaspur, (C.G.) :- Industrial and Production Engineering:- 21390 obc rank

-----------) National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management, Sonepat, Haryana :- Food Technology and Management:-21889 obc rank

You can verify the above at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

So, to get a seat in GFTIs you should get at least around 21k obc rank .

But yes,

Some of the government engineering colleges in which you hold a chance on the basis of past year closing rank are listed below along with the link for their previous year cutoff :-

-------) Jiwaji University, Gwalior:- https://www.careers360.com/university/jiwaji-university-gwalior/cut-off

-------) Indira Gandhi Engineering College, Sagar :- https://www.careers360.com/colleges/indira-gandhi-engineering-college-sagar/cut-off

-------) UJJAIN ENGINEERING COLLEGE:- https://www.careers360.com/colleges/ujjain-engineering-college-ujjain/cut-off

If I get NET 2021 score 480, can I get a good MBBS college with annual fee less than 8 lakhs. I am OBC candidate with Delhi domicile.

rajeevanand843 18th Sep, 2021

Hello aspirant

The only state in India which have private medical colleges fee's below 8lakh/annum are Kerala and chattisgarh.

So get a seat in those college's, student from all over India try which lead to get high cut off marks. Those state private medical colleges go upto 50-550+ marks.

Although you can try in both state upto mop-up round which is held offline and students don't attend much. So if you get lucky you may get a seat.

Use NEET UG college predictor tool to know your other admission possibilities for MBBS, BDS & Ayush courses.
