Hi sir For advanced registration Ive submitted the declaration of obc-ncl, now that after few days Ive received my original obc caste certificate, how can I upload it in the Advanced portal as there is no option given for uploading the mentioned.

Anurag Khanna 14th Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Don't worry because now you cannot upload certificate on the place of your declaration of category certificate because you can upload it only once. There is nothing to be worry about because if you will be alloted a seat through JOSAA counselling then you have to show your caste certificate which should be issued after 01-04-2020 in the online verification of documents through alloted Institute.

I hope this information helps you.

During my Jee Adv registration 2020, I have mistakenly uploaded OBC-NCL Certificate (with the old date of issue) instead of the Declaration in Lieu of OBC-NCL Certificate. Will I be able to upload the renewed Certificate?

Saiganesh The learner 19th Sep, 2020
  • Dear Student,
  • You say you has uploaded the declaration form instead of OBC-NCL certificate you uploaded it because it is mentioned in instructions if you don't have certificate issued after April 1 then you have to upload the declaration in the lieu of certificate. Now you don't need to upload your certificate if you have make it you have to submit this certificate at the time of counselling process.Make sure it is valid and keep it with you at the time of document verification process during your counselling.
  • Hope it is helpful

Anurag Khanna 12th Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

According to the rank and category you have mentioned in the question you can get top NITs like NIT Jamshedpur, NIT Uttarakhand, NIT Jaipur but with CSE mad ECE it is quite difficult as per previous year's cut-offs which you can check from the link given below :-

https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-nits/amp

Note that the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.

So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India :-

what is BC,BC-1,BC-2 and OBC...

JAYA KARTHIKA RS 11th Sep, 2020

Hello,

Other Backward Class (OBC) is a collective term used by the Government of India to classify castes which are educationally or socially disadvantaged. It is one of several official classifications of the population of India, along with Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SCs and STs).

OBC and BC( Backward class) are same . Most of the states use OBC for BC other than some states like Tamilnadu.

BC-1 and BC-2 are caste categories that fall under the OBC zone i.e Other Backward Class.

OBC -I get more privilege and priority in the reservation system, while the students falling under the OBC-II category are somewhat similar to the general category with minimal add on benefits in the education or employment sector.

Hope this helps

My state code of eligibility is Delhi and I am an OBC Candidate. For availing both home state as well as OBC reservation in NIT Delhi which OBC Certificate would i require-Delhi OBC Certificate,Central OBC Certificate issued by Delhi govt.or Central OBC Certificate issued by any state would do???

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 20th Oct, 2020

Hey!

As UP or any other obc certificate is not valid in Delhi, so you cannot submit caste certificate signed by other state. Also, if you want to claim the seat by state quota (delhi quota) then you must get the Delhi OBC certificate or if your caste comes under the central obc list then Central obc certificate is also valid.

Hope I answered your query.

Thankyou

i have 471 marks in neet 2020 . is there any chance to get mbbs in mamc agroha. i am from tamil nadu. i have obc reservation too

ABHIK SHAW 19th Oct, 2020

Hello,

Based upon your marks and the category to which you belong, you have chances for the following colleges in Tamil Nadu for 85% State Quota seats -

  • Annapoorna Medical College and Hospital, Salem
  • Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Medical College and Hospital, Perambalur
  • ESIC Medical College, K.K. Nagar, Chennai
  • Government Karur Medical College, Karur
  • Government Medical College and Hospital, Pudukottai
  • Karpaga Vinayaka Institute of Medical Sciences, Kancheepuram
  • Karpagam Faculty of Medical Sciences and Research, Coimbatore
  • Melmaruvathur Adhiparasakthi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Kancheepuram

You also have chances in other private and government colleges, now the final results depend upon the cutoffs. Regarding MAMC, Agroha you have to apply for All India Quota seats, since as your from Tamil Nadu domicile, you cannot for apply for state quota in Haryana. Would suggest you to use our college predictor for NEET 2020, it will help you to get a comprehensive list of colleges, where you have chances of admission for state quota an All India Quota both, the link is provided below -

what is creamy layer and non creamy layer

Afifa 8th Sep, 2020

Hello dear,

Creamy Layer OBC is that category of OBC wherein the members are wealthier/better off and overall more privileged than the other members belonging to OBC. Non-creamy layer OBC is the other category of OBC which is not as socially/economically advanced as the Creamy Layer OBC. If a total family income is less than 8 lakh per annum, the family is considered to fall in non-creamy OBC category. Any person belonging to the non-creamy OBC category will be enjoying all the benefits and will be getting the relaxation of age in competitive exams as well.

Hope this helps !

minimum percentile marks to get into any iit for OBC reservation

Shiva saketh 7th Sep, 2020

Hello aspirant,

We can't exactly tell the percentile for you to get into any IIt's because every year it is different. Let me explain you about how the percentile or rank is effected every year in different aspects. Your percentile gets effected by the toughness of the paper, number of people attempting the exam, previous years cutoffs.

As per last year for an OBC category student the minimum percentile should be 9% in each subject and 31.5% in aggregate .As you didn't mention weather you are an OBC-NCL category or OBC-CL student, If you are an OBC-CL student you wont come under the reservation.

I will be providing you the previous years percentile cutoffs and rank cutoffs of jee advanced you can further check over there.

Hope this helps!

Thank you, Feel free to ask questions any time.

My NEET 2020 score is 576.Is there any good medical college I can get from AIQ using OBC reservation although my expected rank?

Anurag Khanna 17th Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

On such marks and category you have good chances of getting some Government medical colleges in India under All India quota according to previous year's cut-off. As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that you can get following colleges :-

  • Government Dental College and Hospital, Vijayawada
  • Govt Dental College RIMS Kadapa
  • Government Dental College, Raipur
  • Goa Dental College & Hospital, Goa

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use NEET College Predictor:-

I hope this information helps you.
