how much should I score to get into scb medical college if my score is 643 in neet 2021 ug Gen category ,category rank 2729 and not a resident of odisha?

dishtiv 19th Dec, 2021
Hello aspirant!
Hope you are doing well.

Congratulations for such a good score first of all.
So, you are a non domicile candidate of odisha, it is quite difficult for you to get into SCB Medical College, Cuttack if you are from general category.
According to last year's cutoff 660 marks with a all india rank of 4k to 5k was the last rank to get into this college.

For domicile candidates of odisha, 620+ score os safe for general candidates.

But you can get any other good government medical college for sure. By using below tools you can see in which colleges you can get admission in:

how much should I score in neet 2021 ug to get in scb medical college for mbbs in general category if I m not a resident of odisha?

Piyush 19th Dec, 2021

Hello aspirant,

I hope that you are doing absolutely great.

With reference to your above mentioned query, If you wish to get scb medical college in cuttack, then you need a very high and excellent neet score to get a admission seat in this college.

Since you've not mentioned your category rank, then I'm considering you as a general category student. And, being an UR category, the qualifying cutoff is generally higher as compared to the cutoff trends of other category candidates.

The cutoff varies every year and is different for different category students. Itr depends on number of factors like :

Difficulty level of paper, number of students appearing in the examination, previous year cutoff trends etc.

However, looking at the previous year cutoff trends, in order to get scb government medical college, you need to score 600-650 neet score , to get a seat there.

Further, you can check the neet cutoff article to know about the neet cutoff details :

Further, you can also check the neet college predictor tool to get more information about the other colleges :

I hope that this will help.

i have made my ews certificate for my daughter in odisha and it is mentioned in certificate that this certificate is being issued for the piurpose of admission to specified educational institutions in the state of odisha. can i use this certificate for admission in national institutes like IIT

Subhalaxmi Biswal 17th Jan, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

State governments have been provided with the permission to alter the suitability standards for EWS reservations.

The EWS certificate based on these above norms will be acceptable only in state-led colleges and state government employment positions for the respective states.

So, if your certificate is issued by Odisha it will be acceptable in Odisha only.

Economically Weaker Section (EWS) in India is a subdomain of the population who belong to the income established Un-Reserved Category and have yearly household earnings of less than 8 lakh and who do not belong to the reserved categories in India.  The other eligibility norms are as follows:-

  • The household should not occupy  5 acres of farming land or more.
  • The housing flat region must be less than 1000 sq ft.
  • The housing location must be less than 100 square yards if it is situated in an authorized municipality locality.

I hope it helps.

Thank you.

542 mark in neet 2021.any medical college in odisha both government or private. with green card quota

Anurag Khanna 13th Dec, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See it is quite difficult to help you with the exact list of colleges as the counselling is yet to be conducted and the cut-offs keep on changing every year but yes we can provide you the list of colleges that you can get based on previous years cut-off data.

So on such marks you have very low or almost no chances to get any of the private or government medical colleges under state quota of Odisha because the cut-off for private colleges go above 560 and for government colleges it is 575+. But on such score you can go for some Deemed Institutions through AIQ counselling, so as per the previous years data you can go for following deemed institutions through AIQ counselling :-

JSS Medical College, Jagadguru:- 528 marks

MGM Medical College, Navi Mumbai:- 380 marks

B.L.D.E University, Bijapur:- 387 marks

Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar:- 426 marks

SBKS Med. Inst. and Res. Centre, Sumandeep  Vadodara:- 446 marks

Yenepoya Manglaore:-436 marks
