I got 548 mark in meet 2020 . I will get a seat in govt mbbs medical college in odisha for OBC caste or not

Pragya sarwaiya 22nd Nov, 2020
Hi.
Yes, you can get a government seat in Orissa through 85% state quota
Cutoff for Orissa this year seems to be between 595-537 for UR category
For OBC there will be difference of 20-40 marks.
Even if Cutoff decrease by a little marks, you will still have chances to grab a seat in Orissa
Best of luck

can I get a government MBBS seat with 534 marks in odisha with ews quota belonging to Odisha state?

Anurag pal Student Expert 13th Oct, 2020

Hey dear, seeing the last year's cutoff which went very high that even students getting 500 marks were unable to get a good govt. Mbbs seat. So with 534 marks you have pretty good chances of getting govt. College under state quota, just stay tuned to the counselling. You can also use college predictor through this link:

Im from odisha belonging to general category. My score is 454. well MBBS is still nearly impossible, can i get BDS with this score?

Rashmita Paul 12th Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

So for BDS admission in private dental colleges, 50 percentile in NEET is required. Well, a student should score 450 or above for BDS admission in government dental college. As your NEET score is 454. Your Overall Percentile is:  93.68 - 94.18 and when it comes to rank, your Predicted Rank is : 85867 - 103017. It depends upon last years cut-off that varies.

Use this to predict  the colleges by using this predictor link:

I belong to the State of Odisha. My rank in OBC is 49993 in JEE Main. I want to take admission in only NIT Colleges with the trade C.S.E. or Mechanical or Electrical. So, please guide me how and what to do.

aawezk11 12th Oct, 2020

Hello,

Your JEE main OBC category rank is 49993. As per last year's cut-off with this rank getting into NITs in CSE , mechanical or EE won't be possible for you. The cut-off is much higher in NITs for these departments and a minimum of 20,000 rank is required to get in NIT.

Your best chance would be to apply for state level counselings. You might get seats in state government college if you make the cutoff.

To know your admission chances in JOSSA & State counseling you can use JEE Main college Predictor tool.

Hi aspirant,

The cutoff marks changes every year. It depends upon number of candidates that appeared in examination, number of seats available, difficulties of question paper etc. As per last year of cutoff marks you can easily get government mbbs seat with 592 marks through state quota. Candidates who belong to general catagory required at least 550 to 555 marks to addmission in government in Odisha under state quota.

You can use neet college predictor to know which college you may get:-

Any one here can say by current situation expected cutoff by analysis of odisha under state quata for general category.... please if have any idea please reply...please

S. Saha Student Expert 11th Oct, 2020
It is quite difficult to predict any cutoffs as it depends on various factors such as the number of candidates appeared for the examination, highest score obtained, number of seats available etc. As these quantities change every year so it is difficult to predict. But you can get an overview of the cutoffs if you go through the last year's data. For example, SCB Medical College usually has the highest cutoffs among all the government colleges. Last year the cutoff score for general category candidate under state quota was around 535 marks while SLN Medical College and Hospital, government medical college and Hospital Balasore, Govt medical college Balangir etc had the almost same cutoffs. On an average, scoring at least 500 marks in Neet can fetch you a government seat in Odisha. You can go through this link for checking the last year's cutoffs http://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-odisha But keep in mind that these are last year's data and it can change these year.
