Samarth Jain 19th Aug, 2020

No problem in this if you are applying for state quota in odisha because you permanent resident and you have domicile certificate but if you are also seeking for the OBC reservation then their might be possibility of problem. State government notify his citizens in OBC category/General Category/ST/SC. It might be possible you are in OBC in West Bengal and in some other category in Odisha.

I got 750340 all india rank in jee main can i get a seat in any govt. colleges of odisha?

Anurag Khanna 27th Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

According to the rank you have mentioned in the question you cannot get any of the good government colleges as per previous year's cut-offs so I would recommend you to take a drop and prepare for JEE-Main 2021 because you can get some private colleges on this rank but if you want government colleges then you should take a drop and prepare if you can afford it.

Note that the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.

So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India :-

I expect 666 marks in neet 2020 , belong to general category , residing in odisha. what college options do i have at an all india level?

Anurag Khanna 27th Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

See it is little bit difficult to predict exactly in which college you will get seat or not because different colleges have different cut-offs for State quota and All India Quota. Also, cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

According to the marks you have mentioned in the question your rank is expected in the range of 0-1200. So if we go through previous years NEET cut-off trends then on the basis of such marks and category there are good chances for you to get seat in some of the GMCs like :-

  • S.M.S. MEDICAL COLLEGE, JAIPUR
  • RUHS College of Medical Sciences, Jaipur
  • King George Medical University, Lucknow
  • Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Medical College, Meerut
  • GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGE, SURAT
  • B.J. MEDICAL COLLEGE, AHMEDABAD
  • MEDICAL COLLEGE, BARODA
  • S.C.B. Medical College, Cuttack
  • MKCG Medical College, Berhampur
  • V S S Medical College, Burla

And many more. You can check the previous years cut-offs of Odisha state  through the link given below :-

Anurag Khanna 27th Sep, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

As you have not mentioned your home state so considering it as Odisha according to your profile.

See it is little bit difficult to predict exactly whether you will get seat in any government medical college or not because different colleges have different cut-offs for State quota and All India Quota. Also, cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

According the marks mentioned by you in the question your rank is expected to be in the range of 24150 - 28300. So if we go through previous years NEET cut-off trends in Odisha then there are good chances for you to get seat in some of the GMCs, the reason being is last year the lowest cut-off rank was 26611 for PRM Medical College & Hospital, Baripadar under Home State quota for General category.

You can check the previous years cut-offs through the link given below :-

Im from Odisha. My family income is 1lakh per annul. Im interested in BBA course .Can i go for other state like Delhi or take admission in Asbm university or Ravenshaw university.

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 18th Aug, 2020

hi,

see asbm university or ravnshaw university both are quite good to pursue bba course. however a student can go anywhere to better study , and students belongs to disha or any other state may go for other state or delhi to pursue higher study if she/ he can get admission, has the ability to have the pay fess etc. however before choosing any college you must aware of the certain facts like college infrastructure, placements, faculty members ration to students, work shops and other necessary facilities for students. however if you have financial issue it would be  best to study the nearest college since it would save your lodging fees. however many of the college has scholarship schemes for meritorious students and lots of scholarship available after 12th for higher studies.

some of the top bba college in delhi

shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS)

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College

Amity International Business School (AIBS), Noida

Jindal Global Business School (JGBS), O.P. Jindal Global University

My expected score in neet is 98 marks can i get any government medical College in odisha and i m of st category.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 27th Sep, 2020
Hi

I am extremely sorry to tell you dear but with 98 marks you cannot get a seat in a government medical college, leave getting a seat, you may not even qualify Neet examination with 98 marks.

For example,

In neet 2019 , 107 marks was required for St category to qualify Neet examination.

Also, with 98 marks as per our predictor

Your Overall Percentile is: 22.23 - 22.63

Your Predicted Rank is: 1094155 - 1123305

You can check the same at
https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-rank-predictor/result

With this percentile, you can not qualify Neet examination as qualifying percentile for St category is 40 percentile and if you fail to qualify Neet you cannot get a seat in any medical college be it government or private

Thank you

My score is 525, what are the chances of getting Govt medical college seat in general category at Odisha?

akashkumarpati.2000 26th Sep, 2020

Hey,

Since Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) cell, Odisha hasn't released official cut-off details of NEET UG 2020 for top and esteemed MBBS colleges of Odisha, so we have to follow the previous year's (2019) cut-off trend to make any decision regarding your admission possibilities. So I can refer you to through the following link :

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-odisha

After analysing the above details provided through the link it would be quite clear for you also that since you're a General-UR candidate, you don't have any kind of possibility to get admission in the top and renowned Government MBBS instituions in Odisha. Because as per 2019's data, you had to secure almost 565-70 marks to get chance in these kind of colleges in Odisha.

It's obvious that the statewise cut-off marks change every year based on several determining factors like number of appeared canditates, number of successful candidates, difficulty level of question paper, total available seats etc. Still I guess that the last year's cut-off marks can't be too much decreased from 565 to become 525. So it's better to leave the hope for Government MBBS seats in Odisha.

However your marks is perfectly suitable for several top Government BDS Colleges in this state, if you wish you can go for it.

You can use Careers360 NEET College predictor tool in this regard:
