Last year cutoff for For ONGC Recruitment through GATE. the cut-offs are mentioend below:-
For Chemist:-
IOCL recruited large no. of engg this year (Approx 1500 engg this year, branchwise figures will be known after RTI).For IOCL recruitment, GATE cut-offfs are mentioned below:-IOCL - 54.01 marks, 650 rankYou would get an interview call if you are under AIR-250(General Category) from top PSU's like NTPC,BHEL,IOCL but mostly they hire the top rankers,however chances are certain and it cannot be denied.
Overall you need marks of 65(minimum) and above to get a call from PSU's.Each year the cut-off changes depending upon the difficulty level
