Getting a Job in ONGC be it in any domain Geology, Physics or Engineering, is subject to vacancies issued by ONGC through Advertisements. Usually GATE Score is a mandatory requirement for applying for Positions. ONGC Does have vacancies for Physics and Chemistry Graduates/Postgraduates, though they are less in number and highly competitive. Some other PSUs and Research Organizations requiring Physics Postgraduates/Graduates are BARC, DRDO, CSIR as well as ISRO.

The candidates who qualified the gate examination 2020 according to the ongc cutoff they are selected.

YES, ONGC recruits through GATE score also.

ONGC Recruitment through GATE 2020 - Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has released a notification for ONGC recruitment through GATE 2020.

Candidates who will qualify for the GATE 2020 are only be eligible for  applying  the ONGC recruitment through GATE 2020 and will be shortlisted based on  GATE scores. As a part of the application procedure of ONGC recruitment, candidates are informed to pay an application fee and  should upload their photograph and signature in the requested format and size. Shortlisted candidates based on their GATE Score are called for a written test.

Candidates who will qualify in the written test round , will be having a personal interview after that they will get an appointment letter .
