Hello there
The subjects which are included while best 4 or best 3 subjects combination are mentioned in the List A and List B of the Delhi University. Both the lists will be out with the first cut-off of the DELHI UNIVERSITY.
So, basically students need to wait for the first cut-off.
Subjects' marks are added on the basis of one core language and three best academic/elective subjects as mentioned in LIST A and LIST B .
If Students haven't studied the subject at +2 level in which they want to pursue their undergraduate degree, then there will be direct deduction of 01% .
Inclusion of any other subjects other than list A and B in the combination of best three will directly lead to deduction of 2.5 % per subjects included in.
YOU CAN PREDICT YOUR CHANCES OF ADMISSION IN DELHI UNIVERSITY BY USING THE PREDICTOR TOOL :

The best of four methodology of calculation is entirely dependent on the instruction of the college or university, you wish to take admission in. Now if you see for every subject there are some compulsory subject you should keep in your best four. English is one of the compulsory subject you have to keep in best 4. Now every university have different eligibility for every subject. For example, if anyone wants to get admitted in BSc Physics, the best four must have Physics and Mathematics but some universities only have the eligibility to keep physics compulsorily. Thus it can't be said what you can take or can't based on arbitrary conceptions. Its entirely dependent on your university/college norms.
If you aren't sure I would recommend you to contact the college/university admission cell and they will surely assist you.
I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
Hello aspirant,
The Delhi University takes into consideration the four subjects in which the aspirants had scored the best marks in their qualifying examination (10+2 examination). Candidates should keep the following points in their mind while calculating the best of four marks. The four subjects the university takes into consideration while calculating the best four marks are:
1. One language subject which can be core or elective or functional
2. One relevant subject
3. Subjects from List A which is published in the official website.
The students can include Painting in their best four subjects but there will be a reduction of 2.5% when they want to pursue the course BCom in any college of DU because the subject does not come under the List A that is preffered by the university. And it also varies from college to college and hence aspirants should read carefully the detailed cut off criteria of the colleges that they are looking forward to for getting admission.
Hope this helps,
All the Best!!
