The Delhi University takes into consideration the four subjects in which the aspirants had scored the best marks in their qualifying examination (10+2 examination). Candidates should keep the following points in their mind while calculating the best of four marks. The four subjects the university takes into consideration while calculating the best four marks are:
1. One language subject which can be core or elective or functional
2. One relevant subject
3. Subjects from List A which is published in the official website.
The students can include Painting in their best four subjects but there will be a reduction of 2.5% when they want to pursue the course BCom in any college of DU because the subject does not come under the List A that is preffered by the university. And it also varies from college to college and hence aspirants should read carefully the detailed cut off criteria of the colleges that they are looking forward to for getting admission.

Yes one can change there course if you request your coordinators but one should do it before the exams for mid term begin.
