Hello student no its not compulsory to passed class 12th from cbse board as eligibility criteria says - Candidates must passed or appearing class 12 from any stream with minimum 50 percent marks from CBSE or a recognized board equivalent to cbse.

To be very honest it may cause some trouble but if you have reported to your institute as early as possible then it is modifiable.

You should go as back atleast 1-2 years of General Awareness and Current Affairs section. It is always better to read newspaper for CURRENT G.K. than trying to grasp all info at once. Some of the newspaper sources which you can use to prepare this section are The Hindu, Financial
