No , PU LLB 3 years is not a correspondence course . If you wish to apply for the same , please refer to the information provided below:

Panjab University LLB offers 3 year LLB Programme .The entrance examination is conducted on June 18, 2019 .


PU LLB 2019 Application Form are available from April 10, 2019 on the official website of Punjab University.


The exam is held annually through offline mode and comprises both subjective type and objective type questions.


Time duration to complete the paper will be 1 hour and 30 minutes.


Sections covered in the exam are- English Comprehension, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Legal Reasoning.


The result for the PU LLB entrance examination will be available online at the official website of Punjab University on June 29, 2019.


Availability of Prospectus and Application Form :April 10, 2019


Last date to generate Bank Challan:May 22, 2019


Last date for submission of application fees at SBI:May 25, 2019


Last date for submitting application form, signature and photograph :May 28, 2019

Eligibility criteria for PU LLB 2019 are as follows:



Students who have cleared/ appeared in the final year of Bachelors degree in any faculty of the Punjab University are eligible for admission. General category candidates must obtain 45% aggregate marks and SC/ ST/ OB category candidate must secure 40% marks


Those who have obtained Masters degree in any subject from Punjab University is also eligible


Masters degree from any other university recognized as equivalent to corresponding post-graduate degree of Punjab University


Note



Students who have obtained 10+2 or graduation/ post graduation through Open University system directly without having any basic qualification are not eligible for admission in LLB course


Those applicants who are living abroad at the time of entrance test will be exempted from the test.


Students have to pay the below-mentioned fees through offline mode for PU LLB 2019 Entrance Exam:


General:INR 1100/-


SC/ ST/ BC:INR 550/-


The last date to deposit the entrance fees with SBI challan is May 25, 2019. Application fee is non-refundable.



PU LLB 2019 Exam Pattern


Examination pattern of PU LLB has been set by the Department of Laws, Punjab University. Following is the detailed explanation of PU LLB 2019 Examination pattern:



Punjab University LLB 2019 Entrance examination will be held through offline mode i.e. it is a pen paper based test.


The time duration to complete the exam is 1 hour 30 minutes. Extra 30 minutes will be provided to those who are visually handicapped, differently abled candidates.


The entrance examination will be of total 75 marks. Out of 75 marks, 50 marks are for multiple choice questions and 25 marks are for subjective type questions


There will be 50 multiple choice questions and other were subjective type questions.


Questions in the paper come from four different topics i.e. English Comprehension, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Legal Reasoning


For each incorrect answer or un-attempted question,  marks will be deducted.


The examination will be conducted in all the three languages i.e. English, Hindi and Punjabi


Students can answer multiple choice questions in their preferred language of choice. On the other hand, subjective questions are compulsory to be answered in English only.

PU UGLAW Entrance Exam 2019 Eligibility Criteria states that any aspirant who has appeared for/cleared his/her 10+2 exam from the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi or an equivalent exam conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council is eligible to appear for PU Law Entrance Exam.


Panjab University follows the eligibility criteria for Law course admissions as specified by the Bar Council of India in 2010, Candidate should have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ST/BC/PWD) from any recognized Board/University. However, the candidates qualifying 10+2 through Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission in the law courses.


Aspirants are further informed that if they are taking their 10+2 examination in March 2019 then they will be offered admission on a provisional basis. If they fail to pass or have to reappear or even if they do not secure the required percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, then their admission will stand cancelled.


The official website informs: "The applicants who have obtained 10+2 through Open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission in the law courses. As per proviso and explanation to Rule 5 (b) of Bar Council of India Rules of Legal Education, 2008".

Hello Dinesh, since you are willing to get admission in LL.B for the evening slot specifically. Let me clear that doubt, that all the universities you have mentioned does not provide an evening Programme in LLB.
Following are the universities you are willing to be part of:
1. Panjab University
So to get an admission into the 3 year LL.B Programme, you have an entrance exam named Panjab University LLB Entrance Test ( PU LLB Entrance).
The online application process will start from 10 April, 2019 and end on 18 April, 2019.
Admit cards will be issued on the following dates, i.e., 11 June, 2019 - 17 June, 2019.
And the final examination will be conducted on 17th June 2019.
Before filling in the form, you need to check the Eligibility criteria:
• The candidate should have completed his/her graduation with an aggregate marks of 45 percent from any recognised university or Institute.
• The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD/OBC category will be given a relaxation of 5 percent in their aggregate marks.
• Also, there is no age bar for this exam.

Various departments and centres that will be participating in this examination are Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh; Panjab University Regional Centre, Muktsar; UIL, Panjab University Regional Centre, Ludhiana and University Institute of Legal Studies, Swami Sarvanand Giri, PU Regional Centre, Bajwara, Hoshiarpur. There will be a total of 480 seats, and here 300 seats will be offered at the Department of Laws alone.

2. Pondicherry University, Puducherry
This university does not provide bachelor's in law programme. Only courses that it provides is LLM, and P.G Diploma in law in some specific fields.

3. Poornima University, Jaipur
This university as well does not provide bachelor's in law programme. And the only courses it provides are management and technical degrees like B.Tech, M.Tech, M.B.A, B.C.A etc.
