Career Guidance and Placement Cell endeavor in getting the Students Placed in reputed Companies, government departments and in private sectors. The Students are given Coaching/ training on Soft Skills and Language Skills. The Faculty Members and Placement Officer are trained to through experts from industry and academia. Candidates first have to meet the course requirements. Fill application form for respective courses and then appear for an entrance examination (written test + interview). Admissions will be offered based on the performance of candidates in the entrance exam, complete document verification and payment of the fees.
Candidates must have passed a master’s degree with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade from a university recognised by UGC to be eligible for PhD programmes. They have to appear for an entrance test followed by an interview. Students who will obtain a minimum of 15 marks in the written test will only be eligible for an interview. Department Research Committee will take the interview of a respective candidate. UGC-NET / UGCCSIR (NET) / SET / GATE / Teacher Fellowship holder/M.Phil. degree-qualified candidates are exempted from the written test but they will be called for an interview round.
Candidates appearing for M.Phil programmes have to appear for the entrance test and an interview to secure admission. CSIR(NET)/SET/GATE examinations qualified candidates and Teacher Fellowship holders are exempted from the entrance test. The written test shall be conducted for 40 marks and an oral interview for 10 marks.
Students must have completed graduation with a minimum of 50% from a university recognised by UGC and TANCET/MAT scores to be eligible for MBA programme.
Students must have a postgraduate degree from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% marks to be eligible for M.Phil admissions at Periyar University.
