Generally, there is a major difference between these two courses which is petroleum engineering jobs includes extraction of petroleum and petrochemical is a branch of chemical engineering which deals with downstream processes. Now, all depends on your career aspirations as it is tough to suggest you thr best one because, these two branches are really good and should be pursued with passion. You can also go for IT and product based jobs even after these degree. If you are interested in downstream, go for petrochemical Engineering as it helps you to take many routes such as petrochemical jobs, chemical engineering jobs and IT jobs as well.
